Week 13 Discussion (Other Games)

876 posts in this topic

Somehow, and someway despite the fact they started out 0-6, the Giants are within a couple games of the NFC East.

Cowboys 7-5
Eagles 7-5
Giants 5-7

It is just sad how pathetic the NFC East is this year.

The Giants are basically 3 behind the Cowboys (since they were swept) with 4 to play. They don't really have a shot unless the Cowboys lose out. There's a chance they can catch Philly, though.

It’s fun to think about how a defensive front with Clowney and J.J. Watt playing together would look.

No. Not fun at all.

Considering JJ Watt is already the best defensive player in the league, that combo should terrify a lot of teams. You can't double team them both, and their other guys on defense aren't scrubs either.

That being said, I'm drafting Bridgewater if I'm them.

Yeah fun like it was fun for other teams to think about a pass rush of Suggs & Doom.

Tonight is the big night.... battle for the number one seed in the NFC. Who you all got tonight? I'm going with the upset of the Saints in Seattle beating the Seahawks.

With two playoff contending teams playing tomorrow night, we have a unlikely team who would own the number one pick as of now. This team was a playoff contender and maybe a Super Bowl favorite to have the last pick in the draft. Instead, this team is not named the Jaguars, not the Raiders or some other bad team we thought would have the first pick. The Houston Texans, THE last team you expect to end up with the first pick of the draft in 2014, sit 2-14 in sole possession of the first overall pick.

Not that surprised. Schaub has always sucked and we all foresaw Foster getting burned out. Not to menyion their lack of depth at WR.

I too have Saints on "weekly pick'em". Since they are my second favorite team in all of NFL, I don't consider the win tonight an upset though.

Haven't the Seahawks won 13 straight at home and have been unbeatable at home?

Why don't football players wear athletic cups?

Affects movement too much, I believe, and there's generally no need.

The only thing giving me pause on the Saints pick is that they're playing in Seattle, which is always tough.  I still think the injuries are too much for the Seahawks to overcome though.

Hawks best team in the NFL for sure, I'd be surprised if they didn't at least make it to the superbowl let alone win it

Ugh... the one team I thought could go into Seattle and win, and they play horribly.

Yep but I'm a homer, doesn't matter to me - my team's win is always a normal thing. Can't help it.

Although how it started, I admit I might be wrong.

I hope Richard Sherman trash talks in iambic pentameter.  You know, because he went to Stanford.

And the Saints are always a chance as long as Jimmy Graham can make catches like THAT.
