Next up: Thanksgiving and the Steelers

I hope you and the other Australian Continenters don't have to cut work to see this Thursday game?

Not sure about others but I'm not in a danger - I work from home :-)

One of these two teams are getting eliminated from the playoffs this week...I'd hate to have to smash my tv with a turkey leg in front of the kids

Not necessarily. Perfectly realistic opportunities with the playoff calculator has both the Ravens & Steelers making the playoffs at 8-8.

hard to believe that those pesky bungals won't win two of their remaining, but there's always hope

at Chargers (5-6), vs. Colts (7-4), at Steelers (5-6), vs. Vikings (2-8-1), vs. Ravens (5-6)

I'm a nervous wrack and incredibly thankful - no pun intended - this is a Thursday game. If it was Sunday, I'd probably watch it from some institution.

C'mon Ravens, just win by 4.

i'm of the same feeling here... and hope to brake this "by 3 points win" thingy... so i'd say 25-13 Ravens all the way

I was going to ask if you wanted to hit up a bar somewhere, but I see ESPN is inexplicably showing a re-run of SportsCenter for the fifth time in the day and then a replay of a UEFA Champions League match instead of the clear NFL game of the week. That's a bigger disappointment than Billy Cundiff from 32 yards out. :(

I would never have thought after the Steelers start this year that this game would mean so much .

The Steelers are playing pretty good football right now so we better bring our A game Thanksgiving night.

I just bought a new 55' for my man room so I won't be breaking nothing!  LOL!

the only thing that concerns me about this upcoming game (it's not the steelers) is that it's being nationally televised with millions of people sitting at home watching.  imo, for some odd reason, the Ravens don't seem to do well when the national spotlight is on them (minus the Super Bowl).  they play horribly worst than they have been playing all season and come off looking worst than the bad news bears.  it's down right embarrassing!  smh!  hopefully, they come out playing like, "we're the scariest team that no one wants to face down the stretch" and get this W against the steelers!  pleeeeeeeeeeaaaase!

Talk to your fella cjghfyekeisel.

Well, when you said, "yodles," you meant yodel. The thing is, "yodel" is a form of singing popular in the Swiss Alps. So, to help you out here, what you actually mean is "yokel." Now yokel means an uneducated bumpkin. The problem here is that the word applies specifically to country people. Pittsburgh is an urban area. (I am not helping you with the terms "country" and "urban", you will need to look those up for yourself). So, before you start trying to label fans of the Steelers….get the spelling right, get the word right and then, when you realize it doesn't apply, choose a new word. Otherwise, you just end up looking like a yokel. (This is correct usage because I am not calling you a yokel, only explaining that your failed slam makes you look like one.) This one is free. Future lessons will cost you $10.

I agree that we don't always look great in primetime, the drive against Pitt a couple years ago being the exception. However , aside from Denver this year and the Jags a few years back, we do usually pull out wins in spite of our looking bad. At this point in the season, that's all that matters to me. Keep winning and keep us alive.

4 of us Canadians are making the flight to Baltimore from Calgary for the game against Steelers. We don't land until 2:30 plan on going straight to the hotel and then the stadium.

I NEED advice on what is the best option to enjoy the tailgating experience.

A friend who went to an eagles game said there was an tailgate guy ($20 all you can eat and drink), I can't find anything like that online for Baltimore.

a) Should we just bring cash and hope to meet some friendly people

b.  Should we bring booze and food to grill

C) Do I have to stop and buy a grill, food and booze?

D) Any other ideas ?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Wish I could be of help, but I don't go to many games or tailgates. What I would do is carry around a sign that says "Canadian Ravens fan, looking for a great tailgate" :) People should be overjoyed with seeing fans travel all that way.

It sounds to me as if there are going to be a lot of Steelers fans present.

There appear to be still be tickets for sale.

I know tickets I have tried to sell in my old section are going just for a couple dollars over face.

I've also noticed the crowd is pretty calm this year.

God, I hope we don't get behind Thursday.  I can see yellow towels everywhere already.

Militant.........OMG....REALLY?   WOW!!!!!!!!   Arrogant fan base?      Kettle calling Pot black?    LOL    Anyway, everything I have stated this year has come to fruition with the Ravens and your 120 million dollar man.  This game will be won by the Steelers by 7+ points though.  It will be even more lopsided if Steelers get on top by 14 or more points early, putting Flacco in a one dimensional game even more than usual.  Steelers have run on you already this year and will be very successful in passing because of it.  .  IF the turnover ratio is equal,  this game will be over by the beginning of the 4th qtr..  Flacco's inconsistency will be his downfall and I look for 2 interceptions by the Steelers.  Mark this post down everyone.....I have not been wrong this year yet and the Steelers are playing like I expected them although it has taken more time than I thought.  God forbid if our OL gets to play 2 weeks in a row with the same men........and no 3rd stringers.  I know my prediction will not be believed by anyone other than a few intellectual and knowledgeable fans but JUST WATCH and see.

I'm curious why do you think your coming to a BALTIMORE RAVENS  website and expect to hear glowing things about the steelers up to an including our fan base saying your going to beat us. I can not phatom any fan of the ravens doing that . that doesn't make them unintelligent or not knowledgeable . it seems to me the fans from a rival team coming to our site expecting to see the ravens fan saying oh your right you are going to win we just won't show up are the real unintelligent and uneducated fans  . and for the record no one cares about your oline issues we have our own .here's to an injury free hard fought game .

and if you expect any opposing fans to come back and say they were wrong they won't I am still waiting on the Texans fan to come back and finish the conversation about how schaub  is elite and better then flacco . or the 49ers fan who trolled these forums so bad spouting off about Kapernick and how fantastic he is and how he was going to shred us . . don't hold your breathe

Everybody: please keep in mind that trash and smack talk are not permitted in our forums. There are just too many people who don't find it funny. This is a FOOTBALL forum so let's all keep it to football from here on. Even though I've been guilty myself, we just can't let the trash-talk continue. This game will run hot enough without adding in the smack.

Thank you.

Wow have you been on your own site for the last 3 months..........You have had most of your fans trying to fire Ozzie, Harbaugh and every other coach on your team.  BANDWAGON....realllllyyyyyyyy  ....wow  again.  One minute your season is over and Ozzie sucks as a GM ( not to mention EVERY NFL team would hire Ozzie within 3 seconds after he left the ravens) and Harbaugh ( he would be unemployed for 3 and 1/2 seconds)  and then you state that if Flacco had this and that he would be elite...etc.....heck if any qb had a OL , receivers, running game, tight ends they would be very good.  As a matter of fact, qb's like Brady, manning are great without all of these factors.  Heck even Ben has  good numbers without an OL, tightends, and running game.  At one point we were playing our 3rd string offensive lineman and would have had to put in a Defensive lineman on Offense if one more guy got hurt.   Anyway like someone stated above...lets hope no one gets hurt .  I still predict a 7+ point win, because of how Flacco has played this year, your lack of a running game, the fact that the Steelers ran on you the last time and Big Ben playing well now and your very porous secondary.  I know our weaknesses and they are our poor running game( but better than yours and the fact we ran on you last time....you could NOT stop us), our defense giving up big plays ( our defense is still better because your defense has to play against Big Ben and our WR's) .  I am 57 YO and have watched every game we played each other and very aware of all the 3 point games, but this will be different.......I am not too sure about the 2 interceptions but we will get one for sure........I have faith in Flacco to be himself.
