I thought that a discussion about our board's superstition with regards to the pic in the first post of game thread (and any others connecting to it, for that matter) is part of that week's game discussion... before, during and to send the game on its way

He also put the ball right on Jacoby's hands that was dropped after a good play by Reed that could have produced 6 points. He also avoided sacks and found open Wrs to keep drives alive. Smith dropped a potential big play. What does that have to do with anything?
 
If you are failing on trick plays, and it is putting you're offense in 3rd in long situations in poor passing weathers. Why wouldn't he be Poed. We had like 30 yards this quarter before that pass to Smith and Flacco isn't the blame

Nobody is blaming Flacco other than saying he shouldn't be pissed off at the introduction of the wild cat. The bottom line is we were really lethargic and stinking up the joint on offense pretty much the entire season. The whole world was up in arms against the coaching. I am sure they had a lot of pressure to get this offense rolling. Clearly status quo hadn't worked, so they brought in the wildcat.

The wild cat in reality at least presented opportunities for first downs to take place, especially when there were some 2nd and 3rd and short first down completions.... that is the only way the offense got going. So why should Flacco be pissed off when the wild cat helped us win the game. That was my only point....

Blaming Flacco for being upset is still blaming him lol but I understand what you are saying. I get your point but my point wasn't that he was upset at the total usage of the wildcat. At this point in the game I made comment to Flacco coming off the field fussing at the coach.

 

Imo it wasn't because the wildcat was used, by all means do what you have to do, it was the fact that the offense had got going in the first half and started to roll a bit. Did the wildcat help that of course, but you turn around and 6 of your first 9 plays in the second half are running plays, against one of the best run defenses in the nfl no less. Flacco was asked to attempt 3 passes and long of them came in long yardage situations.

 

So basically you have a 6 point lead and your coaches seem to be getting conservative and taking the ball out of your hands. He had every right to be upset in that situation imo. Regardless if the Wildcat was intended to be a major part of the offense or just a way to pick up a few yards here and there, as coaches you still have to be smart about using it and in the 2nd half we weren't.
