How come we can only invite 1 guest to PMs now? I found the ability to add 6 people to PMS very useful for forum game purposes.

The ability to add more then 3 people to a PM was reduced because of rampant abuse around draft time and into the Summer.

What, were people getting spammed?  If so, maybe it can be a privilege for people with, say, 500 posts.  That way, spambots can't use it.

Not spambots but members, some with high post counts, used the PM system to cyber bully or gang up on others they did not personally like. Spam is not the only way to abuse the system. Generally speaking spam bots can not operate the PM system.
