Don't care, still miss Boldin like crazy

That 3rd and 8 catch, right before his TD catch, was pure art.  Excellent catch.

I don't know how I feel about these code talkers being honored by a team named after a racial slur. Comes off as a PR stunt.

Hm maybe - I thought "substance abuse" was for things like alchol and drugs and they have "performance enhancing drugs" for steroids and masking agents?

This article is missing some info, but it is the substance abuse policy cited, and it is his use of PEDs that he's being suspended for.  But who knows.  The NFL has no idea what constitutes a catch or holding on the field, I wouldn't expect them to have their ducks in a row off the field either.

I've tried to act all indignant about Washington's team name, but I really don't care.  Society has become far too politically correct.

Still don't like the team though.  Their owner is a terrible human being, their coach is a dick, and their QB is overrated.

Yeah that's what I typed that for. Before I knew it he had the TD. It was horrible defense on the TD but I still miss that big body presence with reliable hands.

Those replays were pretty brutal for RGINT.  His poor mechanics and poor decision making was on display right now.  Washington better hope he recovers more from that injury over the off-season.

Totally agree, I actully think this "special" honoring thing is a total PR stunt by Snyder.

No one wanted to admit that he survived (and thrived) off of easy completions by the read-option that aren't all there anymore. RGIII looks terrible. Stares down receivers, poor accuracy, timid in the pocket, and doesn't make good decisions.

Mike Tirico: "Tonight we have a battle of the QBs of the future... perhaps."

That last word says it all imo. That kind of statement wouldn't have warranted a second thought last season.

I hesitate to say that because he does some things well, he's just not doing them well right now.  I think he can throw the ball, but he just has not been right this year.  Their organization is bad and that's a really bad football team around him, which certainly doesn't help.  He does need to work on going through his progressions, but I think his mechanical issues have more to do with the injuries.

The difference between RGINT and Kaep aren't that profound.  Kaep just has a supporting cast.

That should've been a pick, wow.  Kaep really needs to work on his decision making.

You guessed right, as far as I'm concerned. Niners are out of the playoff picture at the moment and one more loss would really hurt them.

This has nothing to do with whether I like RGIII or Kaepernick more - I find them both hugely obnoxious. Newton kinda guys.

I don't mind Newton. Carolina is my brothers favorite team so I am a little biased.

That's the thing though, Kaep has quality players all around him. RGINT does not

He hasn't displayed anything to convince me he can be better as a pure passer.  That being said, with the return of Crabtree giving him another weapon, the strong run game, defense, and OL, I think he can be successful.  Let's not forget, Jim Harbaugh made Alex Smith an effective QB.  He knows how to manage his players at the position, and he's shown that this season when he started scaling back Kaep's control of the offense earlier in the season.  But until Kaep can consistently get past his first read, his ceiling is limited.
