Got in late and finally managed to catch up to the game. The Saints offence took a little while to get rolling, but they're looking good again.

 

Probably pretty big that they scored off that big play too, so they can get the ball back before half time.

The falcons stadium sounds like 50/50 falcon/saints fans.

I agree here, and it doesn't even look that full. If you Baltimore locals ever do that in a Steelers game I'm disowning you lot as Ravens fans. So many people don't realise how good they have it.

I have to say, for all this "teams wanting to step up for a game" stuff is talked about, I can't help but wonder if any advantage in effort/vigour/heart/passion/whatever really just dies away after the first couple of drives.

At least on this play, Brees has ducked his head, so the call would have been questionable if it was flagged.

I feel bad for Tony Gonzalez. He's gonna retire on a season that his team has done basically nothing, and barring a serious miracle won't make the playoffs. I'd like to see him retire and have a ring to show for it...

Well I never heard of icing the kicker before the two minute warning.

 

This is smart by the Falcons to take the FG but they should have hurried a bit on this drive, it was 8 minutes left before the drive started and they killed 6 minutes just to get to FG range.
