[News] Game Recap: Bears 23, Ravens 20 OT

369 posts in this topic

Ravens haven't played a full 4 quarters in a single game yet this season. That is why they lose. Ultra weak offense and questionable decisions by the coaching have to change or it's more of the same.
I would rather be in the hunt right up until the end or else nowhere near. 9-7 8-8 7-9 hovering around 500 is the worst.

The "Fat Lady" is warming up but she's not singing yet. Cinci will lose another game, that's a fact. We just need to handle our business and with 3 home games coming up, it's doable.

It surely sucks right now though.

They were without their starting QB and 2 of their best defensive players and we still lost. Said it in years past and will say it again, John Harbaugh is not a good coach and is in over his head now that this is his team with all the voices and leadership gone. He got his wish, now we have to pay for it.

I cant stand our Offensive gameplan. Pistol and Shotgun every single play? Are you Crazy? Go under C with 2 3 Wr sets. The biggest problem with the Pass and Run game is Gino, Gino is the Worst C calling blitz and plays for the O-Line in the Entire NFL.

10 points off turnovers by Joe was the difference maker in this game, besides the poor snap which led to the game tying field goal and not a TD to Torry who was wide open for a moment in the back of the end zone. Another series of unfortunate events which ended in another loss. Never give up though anything is still possible. Ask that Auburn receiver about not giving up!

And I dont want to hear any hate about HALOTI NGATA! That run defense got destroyed by FORTE without him playing. 120 total yards..<br />And NO TURNOVERS CREATED and Any SACKS?????? VERY POURUS DEFENSE!!! Only area that what good atleast early was Redzone, and 3rd down D

Turnovers were the difference in the game. Also, 3rd and goal when the Bears are selling out inside to defend the run, Flacco has to check to pass there. Ravens played IMO their best game. This game shows me that the Ravens just don't have enough talent to go head to head for 4 quarters.

If the defense could get a stop at the end of the last 4 out of 5 games, we'd be 7-3. its a team effort and the defense has had a tendency to disappear in big moments. It's not all on the offense

The reason the D can't get that stop is because they are spending too much time on the field.  Again, if the O does what I consider a reasonable job, the need for another stop doesn't fall on the D week in and week out.  The D gave up 16 points this week.  The offense's inability to make that stand up is the issue.

When a team consistently loses against back up QBs and crappy teams like Steelers and Bills, it tells you something..

And that thing is YOUR OWN TEAM SUCKS!! WAKE UP OUT OF YOUR DREAMS COACH HARBAUGH AND OZZIE. Paying 120 million to may be 10th ranked QB in the league wasn't such a good idea after all!

Why is it that last week, the offense was stagnant but the defense was great, and now this week its pretty much been reversed, especially when they need it?

Yes, the offense improved considering Ray Rice finally getting 100 yards.

I agree with RavenIsland, the defense is not the problem. They have been on the field way to long all season with they're backs against the ropes. The offense hasn't helped our D all year. Last week the D gave us two key turnovers and we still ended up in over time because the offense keeps stalling.

It's really frustrating how we give up games. Bad INTs by Joe (second one in particular), going on 4th and 8 in possibly Tucker's field goal range, flopped snap on the goal line....

On the positive side, there was a huge improvement in our run blocking and rushing. This still gives me hope. The best case is we go 10-6 and win division, or 9-7 which should be good for at least wild card spot. Three home games coming, then we need to win in either Detroit or Cincy (or both).

It's possible and I am a believer. Zero margin for error now, that's something I don't like.

I hate front runner fans that break their neck jumping on and off the band wagon. As bad as the Ravens played all year, their are losing by the narrowest of margins. Last season, Raven barely beat KC, needed 4th and 29 to beat Chargers, a missed FG to beat Cowboys, Lost to the skins and Steelers back up QB before winning the Superbowl. Ravens will rebuild and get strong. For now, fans should hope for improvement. The Run game improved today. Take the rest in stride.

If we won these close games we'd be 9-1. We can still win out and turn our season around though. GO RAVENS!!!

Well we didn't win those close games so that's out of the question

Things we learned today...
Harbaugh sucks at coaching if it wasn't for that stupid challenge early in the second half we would have had another attempt on that final drive not to mention what horrible clock management that was at the end , Flacco still sucks at quarterback why he throws some of these passes still baffles me when your tight end is in triple coverage its probably not a good idea to throw it to him, the offensive line can only beat the opposing side when the field is in sucky conditions against the 31st ranked rushing defense, lets not get ahead of ourselves seriously... The poor defense is so good but they play with such a crappy offense they are overlooked

everyone on this site knows me and believe me when i say i am elated with our sb win last season but after watching the bears game i blame the loss on harbs and flacco for not stepping up and taking control in his 6th season. i say we play for the draft and rebuild our our d-line and ilb's next year. good luck men!!

This is really sad, I Still believe we have a Superbowl Caliber Defense, But our Offense is just Terrible. and A lot has to do with the Coaching staff, Dickson Cant catch, Wr's cant get any Sep., they Struggle Catching And they're Still in every single Snap. Oh and Lack of Opp. Juice, Jensen and Wagner, They're all beasts and dont play, But This kid from the bengals Miles is a bust and plays.
