I don't get the whole, wah my team stinks, attitude. People are really just conceding a loss to the Jets who got smoked by the Bills last week?

I'm in no way dismissing our poor play or saying a win is a foregone conclusion, but guys and gals, please.... do I need to call you a "wah"mbulence?

We just won a super bowl. We still have a shot at the playoffs. Every game has been close. We all know this team is not playing to its potential and yet we've had a shot to win every game except maybe Denver. Quite crying and lets do our part to get this thing turned around.

We've got a home stand. No booing the team, lets get them riled up and remind them why they love playing in the best damn city in the country!! Protect our house and the playoffs are real man.

And please stop acting like you just deserve your team to be clear cut contenders every year. weren't we 9-7 harbaughs and flaccos 1st year here? and didn't we go to the afccg?

It may not be pretty, and we're never going to be favorites this year... but come on, this is what the ravens are all about! This is why we love this team. We get counted out, always the underdog - you cant just embrace it when we're 7-3 and being doubted. You've got to embrace it too when we're 4-6 and on the verge of being knocked out.

It's do or die. Every game from here on out is a playoff game. Sack up. Put away your tissues.

Plain and simple - here's my take of everyone on this board right now. If you're not with us, you're against us. I bleed purple. My fandom includes loyalty. Switching allegiance to another country during war times, secretly hoping for a loss, all are treason. In my fandom, wanting to tank is the same thing. Expecting a loss is treason. Wanting a loss is treason.

Be critical, that's fine. But when did Baltimore's fan base become like Bostons? Bunch of cry babies and excuse makers when the team isn't doing as well as expected. Get off your high horses please. Put on your best purple and black and get ready to will our team to victory at the stadium on Sunday.

You're darn right!.....

So, just an FYI that I found kind of interesting.

In 2009, at Week 10, we were 5-5.

One win better than we stand today.

I wonder how many of us had given up then as well.

Just a little perspective this evening.

Now, let's beat those Jets!

Well, that year, we also only made the playoffs due to tiebreakers over PIT. That one extra win made the difference in making the playoffs

Really, we have to win out to guarantee a playoff spot. With nine wins and so many other contenders, too much can fall to chance.
Heck, 10 wins may not even be enough, I can see SD going on a roll and matching us, and then it comes to tiebreakers

True and this year we hold HTH over Miami and if we win this week, over the Jets.

We have one more Conference win than Cleveland & Pitt.

Plus, if we beat Pitt we are tied for Division losses with Pitt & Cleveland.

We also hold the Conference tie-breaker over San Diego.

no way... and i mean NO WAY chargers get to 10 wins this season - at Chiefs (9-1), vs. Bengals (7-4), vs. Giants (4-6), at Broncos (9-1), vs. Raiders (4-6), vs. Chiefs (9-1), they'd be lucky to get 3 more wins... I do sound like a broken record, but 9-7 will take the 6th seed

I see us winning this game. I think we play a strong defensive game and Geno struggles moving the chains. The defense plays a lot better at home, I can't see us losing this game. Our offense might not light it up but I like our odds in this game.

We win on Sunday.

Pitta comes back for a Turkey Day showdown with our nemesis, and then we roll. We can only afford 1 loss.

Good news is the Bengals may have things wrapped up for our end of season showdown and may start resting players at that point taking 1 of our tougher games off the schedule.

But im getting ahead of myself. Jets is all that matters right now. Playoffs are starting early in Baltimore, win or go home.

We've got to assume and expect we win out. Why expect otherwise? Afraid of being let down or disappointed? If our players played and/or thought that way we'd hate it. We shouldn't get a pass either.

I will be painted and dressed purple head to toe on Sunday, with a few adult beverages to keep warm (probably 1 too many), and ready to yell until my vocal chords give out.

And I expect the same from everyone else.... even if you're in a bar or your living room. Our team needs us more than ever and this is exactly what always made me proud to be a Baltimore sports fan. Everyone else always counts us out, so we as fans and our teams never gave up.

Let's help pick the team up on Sunday if they struggle, not knock them down with boos. Our part may be small in the big picture, but the Bank hasn't been as difficult to play in this year and that is partially our fault.

Why did we let go of Rainey
Someone in talent scouting needs to answer
Also there needs to be accountability with boldin leaving and huff no more on team.
Time for Ozzie to leave.
What he did to this team after the Super Bowl is inexcusable

We got this. On my signal, unleash Hell!

  • Let them know without a doubt from the kickoff - we hit like Ravens!
  • Stretch their defense with the passing attack
  • Run/pass blitz every chance we're defense
  • Force their offense to 3 and outs
  • Take a two score lead by halftime
  • Celebrate Jonathan Ogden's Hall of Fame Ring Ceremony
  • Then - Get "Pissed-off for Greatness"
  • Capitalize on every turnover that they will inevitability make
  • Don't turn it over to them
  • Then finish the game with a smash mouth running attack (run directly at their sack specialist and rollout pass at their run specialist until they both are coming-out every other play to take plays off.
  • But just keep 'Smashing Mouth" until Rex's mouth is closed shut so tight that he has to do his cup of 'eat crow' after game interview through a straw.
  • Give Rex and Reed hugs and wish them a Happy Thanksgiving.

We got this. Go Ravens!!!

As a Jet fan, I will say I don't really like the match up, and predict bad things for the Jets.  Reason being.  Geno has not yet played a GOOD game.  Average at best.  He has yet to not get rattled on the road.  All teams Geno lost against were teams with good rushing defenses.  And when this is the case.. he is bad.  Very bad.  Your offense may not have to score very much being that your defense should score enough for you.  I hope I am wrong, however I have no faith in Smith to be successful against your defense.  I thought for sure they would end their streak of lose one, win one.. when they faced the Bills.  Did not happen.  With that being said... It only makes sense to finally break their streak and lose two in a row.  Again, I hope I am  wrong.  I do know if I was a Raven's fan, I would be fairly confident on Sunday.

The Ravens are a very good team at home, on the road is a different story. My question for you is how do Jets fans feel about Geno and his future in NY?

I can say I didn't think much of him in college and thought he was over hyped.    Personally, I never liked the pick.  Obviously,  being a fan, I hope he does well, but I don't see him being anything better than an average Qb on his best day.  A sufficient back up if need be.  For the kid's sake, I hope I'm wrong, but he has given little to warrant any high expectations.. if any at all.

The Jets have quietly put together the best front 3 in football. It's going to be a long night for Geno and AQ.

My hope for those two is that their motivation from doing well last game gives them a small taste of success, maybe that's what they needed. It could kick start a new hunger among them, hopefully.

This is arguably the worst team to face in the NFL as a follow up to our impressive showing in the running game against Chicago. The trio of Muhammad Wilkerson, Damon Harrison and Sheldon Richardson has been out of this world this season. It's frightening that they've held RBs to an average of 2.9 YPC. With our rushing attack averaging 3.0 YPC, it would take a Herculean effort to have a repeat performance in this facet. Fortunately, their CBs have struggled throughout the season, so if we have to abandon the running game at some point, it wouldn't be the end of the world. This has to be the week that Torrey Smith gets back into the mix, especially since Antonio Cromartie has only 3 games where he didn't allow a pass of at least 39 yards.

The one thing about Rex is you know he will be aggressive and over confident in his D. We can use that against him. Screens, Draws, and misdirection plays can combat an overly aggressive D. Then when he backs off we can jam the ball down his throught.

Absolutely. Rex is a savy guy. He knows when he saids "I dare you to run on us..." it really means that I hope they don't figure out that we want an ugly, predictable game. That's when they're at their best. Drew Brees lit them up and still lost, It's not about a team's ability to run or pass that beats the Jets - it's situational. Keep them off balance and put them in the position that they don't want to be in (like passing every down from behind). Once we get them there, we will checkmate. It's always chess - not checkers with Rex (especially when he wants you to believe it's something else).

Go Ravens!

Except we won't be able to because Rex has the best front of any 34 defense in the entire league this year.  Those 3 guys +1 LB, ie. David Harris will be able to stop the run on their own.

It's going to be awfully tough sledding tomorrow when they double Torrey, like any smart DC would have on every play this year and watch the rest of our receiving threats get separation on 1 of every 7 plays run by the offense.

It's really disgusting watching this offense play because they can't play against man coverage in any aspect.
