Also, the Jets have yet to put two wins together, winning one, then losing one.  They lost last week...

three years ago we welcomed the fins at the bank - they were winning them all on the road while losing them all at home, this streak that the jets have got going it's gonna be stopped at the bank

If Geno Smith beats us...I'll be done for the year lol

Hate to rehash this, but we lost to rookie Blaine Gabbert.  I need to take a long shower to wash the stink of my post off...

@Mr. Nobody, I hope so.

It's not Geno you need to be worried about.  It's if they decide to play Matt Simms instead, cause we've seen what happens when we play against back ups.  Also, the Jets have yet to put two wins together, winning one, then losing one.  They lost last week...

Geno will most likely start......if he craps the bed in the first Q....I think we see a QB change

I really want to like Geno but the more I see of him, the more I think Sanchez 2.0. He's got a better arm than Sanchez and has the ability to make all the throws but 1 TD and 8 picks in his last 5 games isn't working. I realize he isn't our only problem on offense but that doesn't excuse the horrible decisions he's been making lately.

Three straight home games against subpar teams, though NONE of them (not even the Vikings) should be overlooked. This is where we have the chance to hit our stride, gain some confidence, and go into the home stretch with some momentum. I'm the eternal optimist when it comes to this team every year. I feel like I was one of my only friends/family to think we could win it all last year and I don't believe we're out of this yet. Now or never. Play like a Raven.

Is this (the Jets game) another MUST WIN game for us that we can lose and still be in the mix for the 6th playoff spot???  lol

We will not be mathematically eliminated if we lose. We can do all this again next week.

Go Ravens ... I'm rooting for a high draft pick.

Gallows humor... Geno will probably have a career day against us. This years Ravens have the ability to bring the best out of the worst opponents we face. We make trash look like treasure. smh

really?  lol!  so that means that the Ravens would have to score either 14pts to the Jets 0pts.  Or 28pts to the Jets 14pts etc.  and the Ravens have "barely" gotten to 20 pts per game nearly the entire season.  I believe that they've scored 26pts against the Dolphins and 27 pts against the Broncos.

now, based upon that, and by no means is what I'm about to say completely absolving our defense or condoning it's horrible and trashy gameplay at the end of games in the 4th quarter but from my perspective; I've seen nothing from this offense that says to me that they can score at will, take a lead and then just dominate by scoring and scoring and scoring more points!  I haven't seen that!  at all...whatsoever!  so, to say that these Ravens and this offense can jump up on the Jets...let alone any other team 14+ pts (even at M&T Bank Stadium) is stretching it quite a bit imo.  hopefully, they'll prove me wrong on Sunday!  we'll see won't we?

Technically there is also 20-6 :D

Ed will just lateral to Torrey and Torrey will take it home.

I used to cringe when Ed would get a pick cause I knew a stupid lateral was coming soon.

Now I am hoping for it.

The lateral, not the pick.

I realize you need the pick for the lateral, let me make it clear, I dont want a pick but if there is one I hope he laterals it to a Raven.
Are we clear ?

Everything so far this season has led us here. We need to win-out. That would be EPIC!!! I don't know about you, but this makes it exciting for me. That's football to me.  We can't change what's already happened, but we can change what happens next in our house. Starting with the Jets in the words of Maximus, "At my signal, unleash hell!" GO Ravens!

I took a look at this Jets win-lose-win-lose run, and I think we're looking at something slightly more telling:

Week 1: Home win (Bucs)

2: Away loss (Pats)

3: Home win (Bills)

4: Away loss (Titans)

5: Away win (Falcons...)

6: Home loss (Steelers)

7: Home win (Patriots)

8: Away loss (Bungles)

9: Home win (Saints)

10: Bye

11: Away loss (Bills)

Every time the Jets have looked good, they've done so at home. With the exceptions of the Falcons, who've made every team they've faced look good this year.

NO..i want us to put a fork into this season. No 2 game winning streak and keeping up fasle hope only to miss out and a worse draft pick. Sadly, i can see us winning the next 2 games and bascialy doing the worst thing for our future

fans don't give up a team just saying dude . you can jump off anytime you want .

Any word on why we don't use Deonte more? I mean Flacco needs as much help as possible.

because we dont have smart coaches to utilize talent, lol

Realistically, we are now competing against the Jets and Steelers for a playoff spot per my analysis of all the mediocre teams left in the hunt. Since we get to play both of them in the next two weeks at home, hope springs eternal and I haven't lost all hope. Unfortunately, stats bear out the fundamental truth that the final outcome of an NFL game usually comes down to the final 4 minutes and we have not closed well. With the exception of the Cincy game which we almost blew, we have failed to close well in 4 of our 6 losses. Maybe our conditioning is bad. I brought this up last year and someone said our conditioning coach is excellent. My biggest concern is that we will be outcoached by Rex and Reed. Its time to put up or shut up! Throw the ball to proven winners, Joe! Look for Dallas Clark and Brandon Stokely ( assuming he is healthy). Both of them have caught TD passes in the SB!

PS - I hope ED Reed has a terrible game 'cause I do not want to be in a position to have to say I told you so. His return to Bmore also scares me. One punt return by Ed "The Magician" Reed could do us in. I thought we should have brought him back for the stretch run.

Another way to look at that is they win one and lose one and that's the pattern throughout their season. If that pattern stays intact, they beat the Ravens this Sunday.

Said the same thing.  Rex always get these guy fired up to play against.  I will give Rex this, his teams usually play hard for him, or at least the defense.

I'd say that's a pretty well-known way of looking at it, but I think there's a bit more to it than a simple case of Geno and the Jetts* being spotty, and I don't think it's a coincidence that all their wins have either been at home or against the Falolcons.

Reed will have one INT......

I really don't think so, he'll struggle for playing time as it will be his first game with a new defense; if anything, Torrey will fly by him on several occasions

Reed will have a slip up at some point. Flacco just needs to take advantage and not overthrow the WR. If the pass is good then it needs to be caught for a TD.

Thompson is the fifth receiver on the depth chart  he's not going to receive much playing time

And recorded 1 tackle and 2 assists.

Not one pass defended. No INTs.

As long as Doss doesn't pop one up into the air, I think we'll be alright on the Ed Reed front.
