Next up: The New York Jets

If they want that last wild card spot up for grabs, they better not lose this one.

Its not even really worth it anymore. We're in a 3 way tie for second in our division and we're behind the steelers in that tie. I would play for the Draft Pick. Then again, I've been saying this for a few weeks now. This team is lacking the consistency to go anywhere in the playoffs, so why shoot ourselves in the foot with our draft pick?

Even if you forget the run of Bad Jets/Good Jets (hopefully it's more a Home Jets/Away Jets thing, Failcons excepted), I'm a bit sketchy about this matchup. They blitz really well and I think picking up the blitz has been one of the biggest weaknesses of our o-line. Even in general, I think they match up in the interior really well.

I'm still hoping we can pull out the win, but I'm not sure about the matchup here.

Who cares? Unless it's an Andrew Luck situation, and it obviously isn't, what's the point of rooting for the team to fail all the time just because they don't look like a Super Bowl team? I assume Bills fans haven't rooted for their team to win in over a decade.

Because the Ravens could really really use the higher draft position. We havent drafted anywhere reasonable in a while. It's painful watching this team look awful week after week in clutch situations. I would rather just accept that we're playing for a draft pick than the alternative which is we're trying our hardest and we just suck that much.

Well, the Jets lost ugly to the Bills, today. But, the Ravens lost even uglier to the Bears! So, it's the game of who wants "it" more (With "it" being the team that wants to turn things around.), right?

You know, as crazy as it sounds, since the next 3 games are at home, the Ravens can very easily be 7-6 when week 14 finishes. And, that's the thing that "bothers" me: Because, while no team wants to "tank" a season, especially one where the Ravens, despite their problems, were this close to winning a lot of these games, it would be nice to get a top-10 draft pick that will help make this team dominant in 2014.

However, on the other side of the coin, the sad thing is that the last playoff spot is so wide open and, honestly, I feel the Ravens are much better than the rest of the field. So, there's that...

NO..i want us to put a fork into this season. No 2 game winning streak and keeping up fasle hope only to miss out and a worse draft pick. Sadly, i can see us winning the next 2 games and bascialy doing the worst thing for our future

Coming up for this game next week, I'm not too crazy about this game anymore. Kinda expecting a loss.

Yay better draft position, thank you bears. I don't care if we keep losing at this point as long as we beat Rex, the squealers, and Belichick. Other than that, lose away fellas! maybe something will actually get done if we lose.

I'm not giving up on this team yet just so we can tank the season.   Our boys are going to fight, the fans should too.  B/C that's all our ravens players got right now.

Hard for me to root for tanking the season when you're the defending champs. Have to have some pride, I think.

When is the last time a team that won a SB wound up with a losing record the next season when there was no turnover at the QB position? Has it ever happened?

The time to fight was today and they didn't get the job done. This mentality of "We'll get em next week" is played out at this point in the year. Too little too late, this team needed to start "fighting" for wins long before week 12 if we want to even make the playoffs. I'm not giving up on the team but my expectations are very low at this point.

That Jets front is going to kill us.  I predict after 18 3 and outs when the defense gives up 7 points, and we lose 7-3, it will be on the defense for not giving our savior, Joe Flacco, one last possession.  Damn you defense for not scoring too!  If only Flacco had the 2000 defense and o line, Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, Voltron, The Hulk, Jimmy Graham and AP, then maybe he could put up MARGINAL numbers...

The "Superbowl Slump" happens to many teams. Ex: giants 2012

That team still went 9-7 and were playing for a playoff spot the last week of the season. They were 8-5 at one point and had plenty of blowout wins. If by "Superbowl Slump" you mean they didn't make the playoffs, then yes, there are plenty of teams that go through the "Superbowl Slump".

But the only team I could find in recent history that had a losing record the year after winning the SB was the 02 Bucs who had Brad Johnson as their QB. Not sure if I want Flacco and the Ravens lumped in with that QB/team. The only other team since the AFL/NFL meger I found was the 99 Broncos after Elway retired.
