The Pick 6 wasn't devastating. In fact, there wasn't a devastating play. A devastating play is one you don't recover from and the game then gets out of hand. We recovered from every bad decision and every bad play and took the game into OT.

You may wish to cite your source.

If you don't have one, are you saying how you define a "devastating play"?

Per Merriam-Webster: "Devastate -  to destroy much or most of (something) : to cause great damage or harm to (something)"

unquote....That Pick Six worked heavily against us. It certainly destroyed our hard earned 10 point lead.  It certainly caused great harm to our chances of winning. It certainly resulted in points that didn't have to be earned against the elements and our defense.

As far as good things that occurred. The Bears were ranked 31st vs the run, so if we didn't can the Zone Blocking we'll see how we fair vs the Jets who have a very good run defense.

Regarding the Jets our chances probably rest upon whether we get the Bad Gino or the Good Gino. If we get Bad Gino we probably have a good chance, but its still no sure thing.

Love how you pick the secondary definition when everyone knows that the first one listed is the most common usage.

It did not destroy much or most of the game because we went into OT.

I really wasn't trying to argue with but offer another side of the coin. But you always have to act so high and mighty and condescending all the time.

Here's a newsflash and then I'm done with you:

You do not know more than anyone else here. You are just like the rest of us and most of what you've posted is pure garbage.

Have a nice evening if you're capable of such.

I also believe he might have delivered a TD at the end of regulation if the play-calling was for a pass instead of a run on 2nd down (bears were so expecting us to run it there!) and clock management made us to be in a rush to snap the ball on 3rd down thus the fail to snap it properly

self quoting just to post a link to a really good assessment of that 2nd down play http://russellstreetreport.com/a-bad-call-a-bad-decision/

WE don't seem to score TD's unless we get a penalty in the end zone and snap from the one, first and goal.

Every TD it seems is  a contested tight window throw where everything has to be executed perfectly. Have we had one receiver catch a quick screen and take it in?  it seems there is very little scheming to get guys open in space. I'm not a big fan of Doss but this guy does have some wiggle in space. why not throw a quick screen two or three times a game/

Have we seen even one back shoulder throw executed this year?   anyone?- It seems remarkable but I can't remember a single one.

The forte TD made me sick.

Your Raven bashing is tired.

Our chance of winning rests solely on the shoulders of the Jets QB? And even if he plays terribly it's still not a sure thing?

Of course its no sure thing if Geno plays awful, nothing is. But our play will dictate how the game goes. Geno can play lights out, if we do our thing it wont matter.

You are entitled to your opinion. And you can share it all you want on this Ravens forum.

Go Ravens!

It's hard to get a pass rush going with the field conditions. They also let them hold a decent amount from what I saw.

Okay. As long as Flacco can use the poor field conditions excuse for the loss as well.

Can the defense use the excuse they lost the game cause Flacco was the cause of as many points as they gave up? Those turnovers had nothing to do with bad conditions, but dumb decisions. If I decided to mention Flaccos bad reads for no reason or his slow release being the cause of some of his sacks

Yawn...

The only play one could even begin to call devastating was the big pass play that Webb gave up because  it put them in position to win and we didn't have the opportunity to recover from it.

This was a good game from us. We made mistakes, all teams make mistakes, but we looked more like ourselves than we have all season. We lost and that makes us pick it apart but to me, there are a lot of positives in this game.

We'll see if I'm right over the next few weeks.

The most devastating was rolling the ball to the QB on what could have been the winning play. Routine execution, and the Webb play doesn't happen.

Having watched that play several times, Flacco still tossed it into the breeze.

If you're saying he missed his chance to "rifle it", maybe but he seemed to be looking elsewhere initially.

Torrey would have been wide open.

Yeah, Joe was looking into the dirt for his snap...
