He's not that at all. He has about the least to work with this year then he's ever had and then, until now ... the run game and Oline has been horrible. He didn't have a great game today , no doubt... but he has a minimal supporting cast overall. Mos have more then him.

 

It is true that Flacco does not have a great supporting cast this year.  I don't think there is another qb of his caliber that has as little to work with.  I will say OUCH as I see Anquan Boldin making a nice catch.  He, Pitta, and Matt Birk are missed!!

Not saying they dont have talent, Im saying the Ravens have better talent. Again, What about the Browns? They out talent the Ravens? What about the Steelers with a back up QB? What about the Packers missing starters? What about the Bills with a rookie QB? Again, does Flacco play the QBs, no. But he plays their D. And he is letting backup QBs perform better than him against a better D or at lease just as good of a D.

Understand your point but I don't like the idea of comparing Qb's in a game played when they never even see each other on the field

The moment you say anything that actually is a positive addition to the thread I'll respond as such..

Yea flacco made some bad plays. It doesn't take a genius to see that.. He is most definitely not the main source of the problem as you love to claim

The whole offense this year is a joke. They said this year wasn't gonna be a rebuilding year, but it clearly is. They aren't having the offensive performance to win games. 

Can't use the run game as an excuse, it did well today.

Flacco was terrible today and the main reason we lost. It's okay to admit it.

How was it Flacco's fault? How do you blame him in a game that is windy as hell. Run game was /better/ a lot better. The WR's are the problem as they have been all year. THE RUN GAME STILL WAS AWFUL COMPARED TO WHO THEY WERE UP AGAINST. Hard for Rice to get traction on the field, I understand that. So I can't blame him. Just really bad circumstances. 

 

 

 

And I just wanna say, go ahead and blame the defense all you want, cry because of the secondary. But in reality, Baltimore has struggled on the corner for years. It's nothing new. BUT the corners we have are playing better than they ever have this year. There is a rookie in at FS, he isn't familiar enough to do his job correctly. HE IS improving though, a lot. Blame the defense as much as you like, but they are the reason Baltimore was even in this football game. I don't like the offensive playcalling, and I don't like the WR's, Doss chokes under pressure. And Jacoby is medicore at best as he always has been. And TS is having a really really bad year because he's the main WR the defense needs to worry about. 

 

I'm done hoping for a turn around, it just isn't gonna happen, Baltimore has fallen flat after the SB, which is okay. It happens to almost every team. So far it's looking like we had a REALLY really bad draft this year, and I don't see Baltimore doing better next year either. 

 

Letting go of Bolden looks like a even bigger mistake now, and if he doesn't retire next year (should have at least one more year in him after this) then it's an mind blowing mistake by the GM, because I don't see anyone on this ravens team stepping up next year. With Pitta that might have been a different scenario, but honestly, I don't see the ravens offense preforming much better with Pitta than they are without.   

 

All in all, heartbreaking loss. Offensive is terrible, not one person to blame, it's the whole offensive side of the ball, playcalling is questionable all year round, offensive line isn't blocking, Rice is nowhere near as fast, not even close, the WR's are suspect, and Flacco isn't playing great either.

 

Defensively, it's the best I've seen this team play in years. But it just isn't enough to win games anymore without skilled aware play recognizing safety's  which we might have next year. This year it's over for Baltimore. Flacco could be in for a contract cut, which is gonna be necessary  because we desperately need to bring in a big possession WR next year if this offensive is gonna have a shot, with a new C and RT.

 

 

In reality this team is only missing a few positions, C, RT, G, WR, FS, with the last being questionable. They SHOULD be able to win games. They just aren't, and it's sad. I don't expect to see Rice returning to Baltimore next year. That 50 some yarder should have been a TD, he's lost a step, big step.

Tank season now. Get a top 10 pick in draft. Definitely make OC and DC change for next year. Of course Castillo got to go. Then have players and coaches look in the mirror and ask themselves where their fire and passion is for the game. If they can't find it or don't have it, get rid of them. This team has no passion at all.
