Ed Reed

Correct. Ed didn't play in the first 2 games of the season (Houston won both) and his team(s) have lost every game since. His stats are: 28 tackles, 0 sacks, 0 forced fumbles, 0 interceptions.................where's all the Ozzy doubters now? Still, as a fan, I hope maybe we can work out a league minimum, one game deal so he can retire a Raven.

I'm sure positive when he is ready to retire, the FO will do whatever it takes to see that he retires a Raven. They did something for Mason when he decided he wanted to retire a Raven, you know they will accomodate Reed.

He's bound to win one game right? I mean, the Jets won't really lose out right?

I knew it was time to move on from Reed and I said he would have the same type of season that Mason had after we cut him, but it is still sad to see it.

When the Jets are about the win one, it is after Reed getting slammed once again......

I just watch SoundFX with Ed Reed as the feature.  It was great to see #20 back in the purple where he's always belonged making incredible plays.  Miss you Ed!

Ed is in denial that he is done as a player and says he wants to play two more years and retire after 2015.

“I think I’m still effective. I watch tape too. I’m not only watching myself. I watch safeties across the league. I don’t think that I have played much different this year than I have in the past if you go back & look at tape.”

Well, all kinds of ouch for Ed Reed here.

Ed Reed’s tailor should fit him now for the gold jacket that he’ll slip on one day, but it’s time for Rex Ryan to replace the future Hall of Famer with the man who was unceremoniously booted from the starting lineup three weeks ago.

What does a person need to withdraw and carry 50k in cash around for? I don't make 50k a year and wouldn't leave a dollar bill unattended. When i buy things that cost more than pocket change i use a debit/credit/cashiers check.

Maybe he doesn't trust the banks. He obviously doesn't trust agents, so maybe he's extremely parinoid!!! Although if that was the case, why would you leave $50k in your car?!?

The story is full of holes!!!!

I said this when DeSean Jackson's home was broken into and like, 100K in cash was stolen.

WHY do you need that much money in cash at any given time?

I'm imagining opening his glovebox and just stacks and stacks of money fall out in your lap.

@The FakeESPN: "Ed Reed has $50,000 stolen from his car. Texans say they’ll be back for the other $4,950,000 he took from them soon."

Does Reed not have a bank account?  Who the heck keeps that much cash on hand, let alone just sitting in their car.

Ed being Ed lol

I thought that too.

I wasnt going to say any thing, but I am glad you did.

All I could think about when i herd this was, this is the same guy that would throw a lateral just about every time he had a pick and make EVERYONES heart stop beating for just a second.

He lives on the edge.  He takes risks.

I think I read somewhere that he was withdrawing all his money from Houston banks.

Yeah, apparently he was.

Which actually raises all kinds of other questions.

The article on the front page of this site says that Reed was in Houston to clean out his apartment there, which I assume he only used during the short amount of time that he was with the team.
