WHY, WHY, WHY must we have to listen to that moron call our game on CBS.  It is bad enough we have to be on CBS...but he obviously HATES BALTIMORE and can't hide his feelings during a game.....AAAHAAHAHHAHAH!!!!  Thanks, Vent is over now.

I disagree with you.

I don't think he hates us. He always talks about how we're the best fan base/home-field-advantage in the league.

He just has obsessions with certain players and teams which makes him annoying.

There was a number of times I felt dierdorf was either correct in his assessment of things or he sided with us. He was saying exactly how I feel about Ray Rice dancing, not making an impact, missing a few key blitz pick-ups. Early on with Flacco & Dalton both missing easy WR screens Flacco threw it into ground dalton overthrew it.

He applaud the defense most of the day.

He had his opinion about the Ngata PF on dalton but later in the game he points out that V.Rey hit Flacco similarly and it should have been a penalty also ( at least he was consistent with that junk).

He even felt AJ Green fumbled and we were robbed there. He also pointed out how Torrey smith was held by Pacman Jones and Newman a few times.
There was a punt called back with no explanation at all and dierdorf was like well I'm sure the ravens fans as well as us would like to know where the flag is.

Honestly I was surprise that he sided with us at all as it rarely happens lol

Provide evidence that Diedorf was anti-Ravens.

...He was pro-Ravens on practically all reviewed plays. I saw no hating. HE is a good and solid broadcaster!

Yeah I didn't think he was anti-Ravens. I think I heard one comment he made that had me smh but it was so trivial I've forgotten it already.

Yea I thought he pretty solid and consistent. I still don't know how that AJ Green play was not a fumble. I was certain we get that ball after the replay. I thought the refs did not call a very good game, and we got screwed a bit, but the commentary was pretty good.

Anyone remember how upset he was when Baltimore beat Tennessee in Tennessee in the 2008 AFC divisional game?  Man that was hilarious.

i generally dont like dierdorf, but he was spot on yesterday. and if im not mistaken, i do think hes the one who made the comments about giovani bernard, saying :

"im not a running back, and never have been, but im pretty sure the method of coming to a complete stop and waiting to be tackled, very seldom works in the nfl"

im pretty sure hes the one who said that, and that one made me chuckle pretty good

I thought he sided with us more often then not . The one thing I noticed from both announcers, they were calling people outside there names . He called Torrey, Jimmy and the bengals wideout Marlon and not Marvin . I mean don't they read off teleprompters . he did side with us on the penalty reviews .

I hate listening to Gruden on Monday night football I mute just about the whole game

The mute button is priceless. I usually just listen to local radio jocks when we play. They're more knowledgeable about the teams...and seem to know names better.

Gruden is sooo much worse. It think the Thursday night crew is pretty awful too. Brad Nessler called Greg Little "Mr. Reliable", I mean that alone is reason to never take him seriously again.

Dierdorf > Gruden

I don't think Dierdorf is anti-anyone, I just think he's a little dorky about certain positions and players. He can get a little derpy sometimes too (I think we carried on about the wind a little bit too much yesterday. I was waiting for him to start telling us what the traffic was like, or maybe give us a five day forecast) Overall, he could be worse.

Agreed. He was definitely tolerable.

Dierdorf is one of the worst announcers in football, but he did everything but buy the Ravens dinner yesterday.

Yeah, he must have had a good time in Bmore Saturday night. I actually expected him to be bashing us, but he was more than fair in his assessments.

It amazes me how unintelligent and biased NFL commentators are at times, compared to that of other sports like hockey. They just call the game as they see it, not always injecting their personal feelings and bias into it.

I don't know, I've heard Mike Mayock said, that "this guy is so special".

Listen, I kinda like most of those guys on personal level, but most of them are kinda garbage. Dierdorf did pretty well in our last game, imho. Most of his stuff was on point.

Mayock says that once every minute. He has 20 favorite players on each team.

Lol reminds me of myself.

You and Mayock should get a mock draft intervention. We're all starting to get worried. It's time to go to rehab.

I just love the potential players show! Ugh. It's intoxicating. I don't make that many mock drafts, though I do go on and on about prospects I like and I know I have a ton of favorite prospects.

I often maker myself laugh because of that. I recognize it.

I watch every week at a sports bar, where we do all the commenting.

Don't mind Gruden so much, he has a lot of knowledge, and always says good things about almost every player.

Love when Billick calls a game.

The absolute worst, opinionated guy is Phil Simms.

He never says anything good about our team.

I guess we are a 2nd or 3rd tier team, we never get the network good broadcasters.

Of course, if we played a little better, perhaps we would get a little respect, as we are still the winners of the SUPER BOWL!!!

Go Ravens!

This works, but the radio signal travels faster than the HD TV signal so you get the call before you see it.

i actually like Deirdorf and gumbel over nantz and simms, simply because the make the game alive, nantz and simms are biased and redundant.
