If the weather prediction is correct (windy & rainy), this could come down to who runs the ball the best. Forte & Hester vs. Pierce/Rice & Jones

They both scare the crap out of me. Our ST's can't afford to let one go by them.

Hopefully the run game can get going to help out the passing  and I'm  a little concern because Flacco seems to always struggle against 4-3 type defenses(i think most of interceptions may reflect that) also the o-line.

My alma mater, Valparaiso University, is located 55 miles southeast of Chicago. It is the geographical armpit of the nation, weatherwise, from October 15 thru April 15. I just learned to grin and bear it but the weather can be nasty and at times brutal. The point is that the Bears are probably more used to playing in Chicago weather than most of our guys. Whoever wins the battle of the trenches and holds onto the ball will come out on top. Enjoy!

PS - We just referred to our university as VAL POUR RAIN SNOW WINDY ANNA.

My apology for not correcting the 15 yd I mistyped. I meant to say 150 actually. All I was trying to suggest is the Ravens run game's probability of getting 150 yds on the ground is tantamount to a lottery win. I was being somewhat sarcastic. I suppose the 15 yds threw you off a little.

In any event, this is the only game they have a chance to break 100 yds, but I am not counting on it. The sad part is if they do run well against the Bears it still doesn't mean our run game and O-line woes are fixed, because it isn't a good statistical measure for the same reasons you stated after googling.

No apology needed. We're just fans being fans. Looking forward to the Bears. 100 or 150+ would be great, but there's no telling. Detroit also beat them a 2nd time with a little over 30 yds on the ground. I don't care how we get there. Just win baby.

That being said, here's one more important stat: Historically, when the Ravens have been at least .500 after the 10th game - we've gone to the playoffs 9 of 10 times. If we win this game then it's only more probable that we will sure-up the the running game to go the rest of way to the playoffs (historically 9 of 10). I'll take those odds. No playoff team has ever done it with less than a 100+ yards rushing team avg.  The O-Line woes may not be fixed completely in one game, but they will be on their way. That's all they need is a little success. I got to wish for that. Didn't have to Google that, either. Let's Go Ravens!

The weather today in Chicago looks as though it will be more like Bmore than normal November midwest weather. 68 at gametime falling to 56 through the day with severe tstorms, windy with up to 45 mph gusts. Still points to a running type game.

Time for some smash mouth Ravens football!  :bitenails:

Are you guys ready for this slobberknocker in the rain?  I can see the bears backup QB getting all sorts of messed up in this game.  Lot's of forced fumbles and dropped passes, But yeah for the most part I think Raven Nation is going into this one pretty confident about a win.  Knock off the jet's next week and all the the sudden Thanksgiving is more about football than anything else.

Just felt to me that last week was the start of our playoff run and the team has been acting accordingly.

Damn were gonna really need to buckle down up front with Ngata inactive today.  The rest of the guys not playing were expected but I'm also looking forward to seeing what the other DT's and DL's do to fill in today.

Let's go Ravens!  I am concerned about the windy weather and no run game.  I hope JT is able to score a couple of field goals as those 3 points could have been the difference several times this year.  No more injuries please, and I hope to hear of a Pitta sighting soon.

LOL. So you think the weather in Chicago was like it was here this afternoon? The thing about Chicago weather is that if you don't like it just wait an hour and it will change.

Since when did this become an MLB forum?

I apologize, Aaron Rodgers. Otherwise known as ARod to some. Thanks for the response though, and sorry for my late response.
