Back up QB's seem to be our kryptonite.

lol pretty much.

We need  to stop Jeffrey AND marshall, and Frte. We REALLY need to get real on the o-line, and swallow pride and need to admit weaknesses. When we do that, we can find ways to fix them or alleviate them. Cos I still see us trying to force things because Harbs and his mates still being full of ego when it comes to this issue.

No more Rice. Just ACCEPT it. It's done. No need to wonder what if for the sake of a player';s ego and him thinking he still has it. We've faced numerous opponents (defenses) with varying skillets and strengths & weaknesses, and he's come up NIL in all of them.

Love Rice, but man, just need to know when you're done. Outside of being a workable 3rd down back, I think he needs to make more room for Pierce. Pierce hasn't looked like a world beater, but he gives us a helluva better chance.

Our o-line isn't great for sure, but given the same oline, Pierce has managed better. Even albeit marginally. We need to take what we can get. Every little bit counts.

And please, know that the middle of our oline is as soft as Goose's belly - have some hot reads in the middle to help with this. This Bears D will no doubt be turnover hungry as they always are.

We can beat this Bears team. The talent is there. We just need to find out if the coaches are willing to try and deviate from what hasn't worked so far.

I won't lie, this game is gonna be tough for me to watch. Not because I don't think we'll win, but because of the opposite side of the ball are two guys that I've gone to bat for over the years to be apart of this team.

I've had some really good debate with some of you guys about how Alshon Jeffery would be a stud and was worthy of a 1st round pick(was wrong on this). I wanted to draft this guy so bad last year and when the Bears selected him I had a nasty feeling in the pit of my stomach. The only good thing is that he wasn't in the AFC. I though this guy paired with Torrey would have been as good a 1 2 punch as their is in the NFL. He isn't exactly lighting it up, but he's playing well and I feel would have been even better on this team.

B Marshall is just a beast and at the time the Ravens were rumored to get him was immature, but definitely a great talent. Both these guys will provide a challenge for our secondary but if Webb builds on his performance Sunday and Jimmy continues playing well I like our chances. The key will be putting pressure on McCown. The Bears oline has allowed the 3rd fewest sacks in the NFL with 14, while the Ravens defense has the 3rd most sack total in the NFL with 32. So that's the battle to watch imo.

I think the defense will do as good a job as they did against ARod and the Pack if not better. The key will be the offense getting out to a fast start and allowing those guys to bully and hunt. But we all know how that story goes.

Yeah, I really like Jeffrey and still do.

Let's start Pierce. We can't get anything going with Rice, he is probably still injured so let's rest him. I am sure we will manage with out his 3 yards a carry average....Actually I wish it was that good.... :(

Reminder to people that didn't get the news: Cutler is out for Sunday's game.  Upstart backup Josh McCown will start.

Are you glad that the Ravens' D will be facing career backup QB Josh McCown or would you rather they face a banged-up Cutler?

I'd rather have Cutler because backups seem to give us trouble for some strange reason. I think part of it is that we don't know what to expect but we've seen more from McCown recently so who knows.

For some reason the Ravens defense tends to make backups look like Joe Montana. No idea why, but I am actually nervous. It's not like we have a great offense to fall back on. I'd rather play against a healthy Cutler, just based on history alone.

I don't care if it's Cutler, the cutlet, or McCown (either McCown). I am more concerned about what our offense can do. Bears Defense lost some key guys and im still worried we won't be able to move the ball...I have zero faith in our offense right now based off the last 2 games. I was so certain they would get things fixed over the bye...

He's already done. McCown is starting against us.

See? Hit him hard and he's done. Sorry, didnt even realize he was already out for the game, ha.

I think the Buffalo game removed all doubt.

You forgot they stop running on us @ 2nd half.   That circus was all on joe with his 'sweet' 5 INTs.

A few thoughts on this game, Chicago's D is really quite poor. They haven't been able to stop the run all season, which means Pierce and/or Rice may finally have a breakout game. They also have a bad pass rush and will be without their top corner. Our offense should put up points. Injuries have really hurt Chicago and hopefully we can take advantage.

They do have a dangerous offense, so our defense needs to have another great game. Marshall is a top WR in this league and Jeffery is proving to be a solid #2. They both have great size and will be tough covers. Their OL is much improved and Forte is always a threat. They with be starting a backup QB, but McCown has proven to be reliable.

It should be a good game and I predict there will be some points scored.

Julius Peppers is gonna have field day on us

Peppers may still be a big name around the league but he is having a poor year and will likely be cut this off season

It will be a tough game, but winning it could be a strong statement. I really don't care if we win the same way we did with the Bengals, it's just very important that we do.

I think we have a good shot at winning this game, there offense is struggling and will not have Cutler, our offense looks terrible. But I think our defense can out perform theirs any day. We must get solid performances from the DBs who need to watch their giants they have playing WR.

Okay so don't get to see Chicago too often. Which is it guys? Good D or Bad D? lol

Honestly I'd rather we faced Cutler than McCown. Cutler can easily be rattled with pressure. Not sure about McCown. Pass rush will be key IMO.

Bears have given up the 2nd most rushing yards and 9th most passing yards in the NFL. Bears played decent D vs. the Packers decimated offense but this past week didn't register a single sack or QB hit against the Lions and allowed Reggie Bush to avg 7.5 yards/carry. Bears D is nothing to write home about and arguably pretty weak. Granted, this will be an away game for the Ravens, which usually supports the D except that the Bears have not really had a great defensive home performance (they've given up at least 21 pts in each home game).

Our D, arguably played its best game last week (minus the hail mary BS). Our secondary looks like it could be elite and our pass rush is coming in nicely. I think if the Ravens can score more than 21 pts, we can leave with a W.

No cutler.. No Tillman ... No problem  Just shut down Martellus Bennett the huge Tight End and either B Marsh or Alshon and will be straight. Forte is super overrated.
