Week 10 - Other Games

202 posts in this topic

This has been a pretty much perfect week for Ravens fans, result-wise. Everything that we wanted to happen has happened (so far!). The Bengals lose ( :D ), the Colts lose, the Titans lose (both to teams you really wouldn't see them losing to), the Texans lose and for most of us it'll be nice to see the 9ers lose. The only thing that's gone wrong so far is the Steelers winning, but that's more likely to mess with their draft pick come April.

All that's left is to enjoy the Cowboys/Saints match and hope the Bucs do us another freakish favour tomorrow.

Anyone else ready to be jealous watching how easy these two teams should move the ball tonight?

Hell yeah, though I think Romo is really the Anti-Flacco.

Great assessment of Glennon, via the AP:

Mike Glennon set NFL rookie records for the most completions and attempts over his first four starts, he's now 0-5, has been sacked 13 times and has failed to mount a game-winning drive. Glennon has completed 60 percent of his passes for 1,165 yards, with eight touchdowns and three interceptions. He's also gotten little help from the team's sputtering ground game. "The guy can make every throw," receiver Vincent Jackson said. "He is very decisive. He puts balls in places, usually where you can make a play on it. If it's not catchable, he's going to throw it away. He's not going to take a lot of chances. That just helps us as an offense when we're taking care of the football."

US contingent is either still unconscious or drunk after that Hail Mary.

I'm here to represent.  Still drinking beers...so I guess I do kind of fall into the latter category lol.

Considering it's 3.15pm here in NZ you and I would be tending towards alcoholism if we got on it. Not gonna lie though, I'm a little jealous.

Do people in New Zealand use periods to demarcate between the minute and hour, instead of colons?

It's even worse for me, I'm officially on the clock until 5PM. Agree on a jealousy part, though.

I think seattle is probably gonna run through the NFC in the playoffs since they look like they will be having home field advantage for the playoffs, but for the AFC I really have no clue who makes and if they stand a chance of winning the superbowl.

I'm looking for work atm, so Monday's effectively my day off. :p .

Seattle certainly seem like the team to beat. The 9ers losing today and their small stutter earlier on will help the Seahawks out a lot. I could see Seattle and NO being one and two come the end of the year.

yeah i could see seattle vs new orleans in seattle for the NFC title and seattle making quick work of them. Although i'm not ruling out the possibility of another annoying new york giants revival and upsetting the field again.

Agree with Seattle. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Saints represent the NFC though. In the AFC Denver is the clear favorite IMO. It all depends on whether Peyton can play better late in the season. Patriots are flying under the radar and I don't like that. I also wouldn't be surprised to see them make some noise.
