News w/ Huge Sports Medicine Implications!

Scientists at the Universiity of Leuven have discovered a new ligament in the knee, coined the anterolateral ligament (ALL).  It appears to have a huge impact on the ACL and by extension, ACL tears.  Sports health scientists may be able to use this new knowledge to revolutionize preventive measures for ACL tears and also treatment of tears.  This is great news for football players who succumb to the crippling injury.
