Question marks like what happened in that 49-9 Jets blowout on 10/27? The only question about Cincy is how dangerous are they going to be on any given day, injuries be damned.

Waiting for you to acknowledge your blunder!  :ravensquote:

While I agree with most of what you say here , two knee injuries may have sapped Webb from being an elite corner to average. I guess we'll know more next season if he doesn't get injured again.

This front office gets better press than it deserves for it's drafting. I'm not sold at all on the past draft class.

I think you're going to have to chance your signature after today's win!  :ravensquote:

Great weekly analysis by Inqui:

This has been a pretty much perfect week for Ravens fans, result-wise. Everything that we wanted to happen has happened (so far!). The Bengals lose ( :D ), the Colts lose, the Titans lose (both to teams you really wouldn't see them losing to). The only thing that's gone wrong so far is the Steelers winning, but that's more likely to mess with their draft pick come April.

Cheers mate. When I saw the notification I had no idea I'd posted in this thread, but that makes sense!

Honestly, the Colts and the Titans losing is why you should never say die until you're actually dead. No-one knows what's going to happen in this league until it happens.

It's just a shame the Jets, Browns and Patriots couldn't also lose this week. :)

BAL plays NE later this season, so...

Webb might have been a flash in the pan. Remember he was only very goodin 1 year. Upshaw is a poor mans jj. Mcphee is average, get over him. Jimmy smith is ok. Nothing more. Art jones is good. Nothing more. Pitta is a very good tight end. Not gronk though is he? We could have hadhim. Torrey is. Te only one of the above mentioned that gave us value for his pick. Most teams have drafted better then that.

Webb is still getting healthy. It's not coincidence that Webb's best year came when he was 100% recovered. It takes a year or longer to fully get back from ACL surgery, so I would expect Webb's play to continue to improve as the year goes on.

I think the door is still open. As we saw on sunday the bengals are far away from a scary football team.

we have to focus on our own. this game could have been the turning point of the season at the end of the day...

If we can pull off a win in Chicago, I say we can make a run at it. We need one of the Harb Era 4 game winning streaks! : P

The losses this week have given me more hope than our win. I think 9-7 may be enough for a wildcard or potentially the division, that is still a tough ask but certainly possible. Need to win the next 4 though.

If it remains between the Ravens, Browns, Chargers, Titans, Dolphins and Jets (currently a game ahead of the rest), is there even a favorite out of that inconsistent group? I think it comes down to us and San Diego because I have seen nothing to make me have any more confidence in any of the other teams.

If we beat Chicago, then I say it's 50/50. If then beat the Jets, it's likely. If we then beat Pittsburgh - GUARANTEED.

The good thing is as of today it's all still right in front of them.

Mcphee is OKAY. KO had half a good season last year and now is having surgery..not ozzies fault but still

We have no drafted well and relied on earlier drafts (successful ones) to keep us competitive..sadly age is an issue.
you can also add Oher to the list.

fact is..Ozzie has been very overrated post 2008 when it comes to drafting

remember the 2004 draft debacle?

yes...ill say it..ozzie 1996-2008 >>>>>>>>> 2009-2013

You have to remember where we have been drafting since 08. Flacco has been our highest draft pick at 18. Since then, we've been drafting in the high 20's at least..where Ozzie usually trades out of round 1 to get more value in rounds 2-4.

Dickson was looking to be a steal until he was beaten out by Pitta (a lower pick) speaking of Pitta, before he got hurt he was looking like he was going to be one of the top TE's in the league..and his absence has shown how valuable he was/is to the offense.
Moreover, Webb who is by far our best DB was drafted in 09..in the 4th round out of a nowhere school. Elam looks solid so far. Oh and how about Torrey Smith? Marlon Brown has already equaled Boldins production from last year. Yes, Cody was a bust. Sergio Kindle was a steal where we drafted until he robocoped on the stairs..cant hold that one against Ozzie.
Not saying that he's never missed on a pick...just doesnt happen often.

Now lets hope he can dig up an NFL caliber Center somewhere.

The Orioles had a better team in 2013 then they did in 2012. They just couldn't win the 1 run ball games...sometimes close games don't go your way. Last year we had 2 OT games that went our way. If it wasn't for them, we might of had the same season we are having now....

no way were the O's better in 2013... how does this even fit in?  Our pitching staff was above average in 2012 and this year... not so much. besides, pitching is everything, remember?

2012 pitching, 2013 hitting together would be priceless.

I'm sticking by my vote of 50/50.

It ain't over till we are mathematically eliminated.

Right now, the way I see it. This team can still win games and can control their own destiny.

NFL is a wide open race where anybody can beat anybody on any given Sunday.

We may not have a perfect team, but we still got a good team compared to a lot of other teams.

CLE: should slump soon
SD: likely to be swept by DEN & KC
TEN: Fitzpatrick
MIA: O-line is in tatters; Miller and Wallace are busts so far
NYJ: same as CLE

If we can get passed these next 2 games ( BEARS, STEALERS ) then our chances go up big time.

It would be a big confidence builder too.

Amazingly, BAL is still tied for 2nd in the division!  If BAL beats CIN & PIT and Dalton's boys lose 3 more games this season, then the Ravens will win the division once again!

Truly amazing if that's correct. As much as this last game felt like a must-win, at least it was out of the conference
