this year Rodgers definitely has a run game. I think their whole goal this year was to run the ball effectively, in years past, Rodgers put up amazing stats and didn't run the ball but I think Packers wanted to be more 2 dimensional. I am very pleased with Marlon Brown. The tight end position is the issue and another issue is not going back to the screen passes. Those worked so well for us in 2009..

I wonder why we rarely use the screen game too. It might come back to having a brutal OL, because they have to get downfield and block well for the screen to be effective.

 

In the past Rodgers has had to carry his team without a run game, but he has also had elite WR/TE talent to throw to.

The Orioles had a better team in 2013 then they did in 2012. They just couldn't win the 1 run ball games...sometimes close games don't go your way. Last year we had 2 OT games that went our way. If it wasn't for them, we might of had the same season we are having now....

We are not in a rebuilding phase - we have lost players, and we have added new ones to replace them.  This happens every year in the NFL.  During the regular season last year, we didn't really look that great.  One big difference is that we won close games last year, while this year we are losing them.

 

With the amount of talent on our team right now, it would be crazy to "rebuild".

Were we "rebuilding" when we fired Cam late last season?  In my mind, retooling schemes, hiring a few new pieces is not rebuilding - it's adding to what we already have.  In my mind, to "rebuild", you tear down your team to the bare bones, and then bring in a vast majority of new pieces to put together a wholly different team.  We have not done that.

I think the running game and consistency on offense has clearly been our biggest issue so far this year.  Our offense is consistent at one thing: getting off the field quickly without putting points on the board.  I think our defense is solid, but they are on the field too much and are getting picked on by offenses.

 

The issue with the fact that our run game sucks is that it's a little difficult to figure out the reason why it's so bad.  Have both Rice and Pierce lost a step, and not as good as they were last year?  Is it our play calling?  Is it our o-line's inability to block effectively?  Is it that our o-line cannot pass protect, so defenses can favor the run?

Beating cincy twice and only losing one other.

 

Running game, O line play, finding a dependable target at TE, secondary play, making D stops when needed, etc.. The list is long.

I dont know man we let a lot of cats go. We added people because we had to, not to add to what we had. When I look at the defense from last year, it seems like almost everything has changed. On offense we have changed our identity, again not saying we should not. 

 

This just looks like after next years draft we wont be your mom's Ravens.
