Well hopefully Rex Ryan can get the Jets to play for him as it could be his last game as HC.

i think you are right, been saying this myself, unfortunately rex and ed are our chance for an upset

now there's a bunny here - ravens and fins play at 1pm and chargers at 4:25pm; if either us or miami get the win, then chargers are out and could rather chose to position themselves better for the draft...

If the ravens play like they did today in cincy. They will get 42 hung on them like the Vikings did today.

I doubt CIN will take the game seriously. Expect the backups to get most of their snaps. SHOULD be an easy win.

No way MIA loses at home to the Jetlags...

Cincy will be playing for #2 seed, if they lose they could drop to #4 seed. They're not sitting anyone. Their defense is lights out at home this year, Dalton is streaky from what I've seen and looks like he's ready to start a streak of playing well. Flacco's hurt. Ray Rice is in witness protection. The defense couldn't stop Patriots wr's, who, I don't know if you've noticed, are not AJ Green. How exactly are the Ravens going to win?

The league wants Eagles and Fins in, not us. Our run is done.

I highly doubt the league wants the Dolphins in.

And between the Eagles and Cowboys the league would always choose Dallas. There's no conspiracy here.

This is an excellent point. I hope everyone reads this before posting about Cincy resting folks. This is an early game, PATS play after so, Cincy is going to want to put the pressure on NE to win.

Like that bunny...good point, though SD is at home and probably won't want to incur the boos by benching folks. Could happen though cause as you point out they will know their fate since they play in the afternoon and first year head coach may want to evaluate talent on the roster.

Boos? You're assuming people in San Diego actually go to Chargers games lol.

Died in Cleveland in the factory of sadness. And honestly, that's the team we have been all year, not once this season have we played 4 full quarters of football on both sides of the ball. I'm not sure what words to use to describe our offense, but I remember a while back, when Cam was calling pass after pass, and Ray only getting like 3 or 4 carries, someone saying that as Ray Rice goes, so goes the Ravens, I'd have to say that's true. Ask yourselves this, do we deserve to be there?

I have convinced myself that I will feel alright whether or not we make the playoffs.

Frankly, we don't deserve to be there - but looking at the AFC, half the teams in the playoffs don't deserve to be their either.  The NFL as a whole is rather lackluster this year.  We have a good team with a couple of missing pieces, but an excellent start to what should be a far better team next year.

If we make it in, then you know I'll be there right next to you all, screaming like a little girl at a Justin Bieber concert.  If not, then I'll be looking forward to next year.

This is bs. Bengals 7-0 at home, Ravens 2-5 on road. Beating dreadful Lions on 61 yd fg who just lost to lowly Giants. Flacco is hurt also. I give maybe a 25% chance of winning this game alone. Miami 4-3 at home plays bad Jets road team with Gino Smith at QB. 65chance % or so Miami wins. Then SD plays at home to a Cheifs team who might be sitting players out in a meaningless game. Ravens have in reality a very very slim chance with this scenario. 1 Miami, #2 SD..
Ravens very slightly behind SD in chance to advance. Cant see even close to a 43%.chance of even Beating Bengals on road. Thier season ended with that clunker vs NE.

The official playoff Scenario for the Ravens to make the playoffs:

BALTIMORE can clinch a playoff berth with:
  1. BAL win + SD loss or tie
  2. BAL win + MIA loss or tie
  3. BAL tie + MIA loss + SD loss or tie
  4. BAL tie + MIA tie + SD loss
  5. MIA loss + SD loss + PIT loss or tie

Second Scenario is more likely as I feel we can go in and beat the Bengals and the Jets can take care of the Dolphins.

We actually do better against receivers like AJ Green.  He's still dominant and will get his.  But  I was worried about those shifty guys coming off the line, untouched.

The league wants Eagles and Fins in, not us. Our run is done.

Who cares what the league wants and why would our run be done because of it?  Our players failed to execute.  I didn't see the league missing passes, tackles or a FG.

Besides, even if they did care, why would they even want the black mark of the Dolphins to be in this year?

We do not belong in the playoffs.  Had our chances and didn't come through.  We just have to face it, we are not at that level with the players we have right now. Offense can't score, run or block and turn ball over too much.  Defense has done OK.  But gives up the big plays or makes the critical errors at the wrong time.  Need a good draft and off season.  Have a lot of big decisions to make with high dollar players and free agents.  I never give up on the Ravens, but even if they make playoffs look for one and done.  Have to score TD's and we can't do it.

The four game win streak was impressive..but we dug ourselves into quite the hole with some of the earlier losses..lets be honest, we knew these last three games would be tuff. I honestly didn't wanna go into the playoffs sporting a 6 game win streak anyway...now we need help..but we have to take care of business against a playoff rival. Also it seems as if KC won't have much to play for which would really hurt.

Basically.

Missing the playoffs ..imo forces the Front Office to realize this team needs changes..I wouldnt be completely distraught missing out..im humbled after 5 straight playoff appearances and a Superbowl.

Cincinnati is a 6 pt favorite. Miami is a 7.5 point favorite over jets and SD is a 10 point favorite over KC. Looks bleak even if Ravens pulled a huge upset of the Bengals.

While we beat Miami earlier in the season, Miami  has the inside track on the sixth seed because they hold the 3-team tiebreaker.  We need to win and have either Miami or San Diego lose.  Miami is playing against the Jets and San Diego is playing against Kansas City.  The Chiefs have nothing to play for, so Chargers may have as easy win.  That leaves Sexy Rexy to beat Miami.  Miami is a better team, but hopefully Rex gets his boys fired up for the spoiler role.  We also have to beat Cincy, which isn't an easy task.  Miami may have the best chance because I see both teams winning, unfortunately.  We had lots of chances this season, we just failed to capitalize(Bills and Browns).  Honestly, we may need everyone to lose because Cincy is no pushover, so go Jets, Chiefs, and Browns.

We are moving on.

In case there was still the question: Yes, we make it to the playoffs and maybe further. I hope we get another chance to play the Pats in the AFC Championship (If they get that far). We got this. (unleash the trolls! :gaah: )

I would expect nothing more then doom and gloom after the lack luster performance this team had last night, but the Ravens still have a really good opportunity to make the Playoffs.

For people saying the Bengals will be playing their guys because they'll be fighting for the #2 seed, I don't think they will. First of all the Bengals just won the North yesterday and as much as many will say you just put those emotions aside, it's tough to do. The Bengals are in a position to become lacked knowing that they are already in. It's tough to fight for something that you can't achieve just by winning. They would still need the Pats to lose to get the #2 seed. Also, Marvin has to weigh risk vs reward. No matter the outcome of this game, the Bengals could very well be hosting the Ravens again next week. With nothing to lose for the Bengals, why show your hand to a team that already knows you well. The smart play would be to make the Ravens go all out to beat you and come back and try it again the following week. I don't see the Bengals starters playing more then 1 quarter.

As for Mia and SD. SD is in the worse spot because they play at 4:30 while the Ravens and Dolphins play at 1. If either the Ravens or Dolphins win, SD has nothing to play for and that'll be an emotional let down for their players. To spend all week getting up for a Win or go home game only to find out just minutes before that you are eliminated no matter what is tough.

So it'll be a long day on Sunday and despite Fans from all 4 teams being uptight, I'm sure the NFL will love every moment of it. I actually think the Ravens win the 6th seed and travel to Indy next week.

This is a great point which seems to be overlooked on the boards. You can bet SD will be checking the scoreboard of our games.  It could serve up an emotional blow.  Rivers tends to be a very emotional (albeit competitive person).  That's why we need to take care of our business.

I never give up until the clock says ZERO.  Neither does my support of this team.  So many people are ready to quit on the team.
