Depends on if they beat the Colts this weekend or not. The Broncos aren't losing to the Texans.

No way KC loses to IND, either.

Any given Sunday.  Who would have ever thought that the Chargers would beat the Broncos?  Who would have thought that the Patriots would lose to the Jets?

We could say the same about DEN's last 2 games. Which reiterates my earlier point: KC won't forfeit to SD next week because they still have a shot at the division pennant.

They will if the Broncos win and they lose this week.  There's no way they can claim the division in that case, and there's no way they can drop out of the 5th wild card slot either.  It's entirely possible that they decide to rest their starters if they're out of the division race.  Without a doubt, they have the harder road to 12-3 this week.

This week's games to watch and who to root for:

Dolphins @ Bills; hope for Bills win

Vikings @ Bengals; hope for Vikings win

Colts @ Chiefs; hope for Chiefs win

Raiders @ Chargers; hope for Raiders win

These things don't need to happen, but it would be beneficial.

yea all would be beneficial but I'm not paying attention to these games nearly as much as I have before. We control our own destiny and that's the best position to be in. With that said it'd still be nice to see the Dolphins, Bengals, Colts and Chargers lose. It wouldn't be the first time this season the Ravens got a bunch of help in one week. lol

Yeah winning is the most important thing lol, but all of these games would certainly help.  The only one we could really use if we win is the Chiefs over the Colts, since a Colts loss would put us in a better position to get a higher seed.  All of those other games are ones that help if we lose.

Cinci seems to be cruising to victory.  Next week will remain a must win situation whether we win or lose today.

Let's hope Buffalo continues beating Miami.

Next week was always a must win. Even if the Bengals loss and we win today it would have just put both teams at 9-6 with a winner take all type scenario. That's why I never cared about the Cincy/Vikes game.

The Dolphins is the game you really want to watch, because if those guys lose, then the Ravens only have to win 1 of the last 2 games to get the 6th seed. So with a Dolphins loss it just gives the Ravens a little breathing room next week

Yeah I know.  Today's game just solidified it as a must win.  I never thought otherwise.

And we need to worry about SD in the second situation.  If they win both, that puts us in the 2 way tiebreaker with SD and MIA and MIA advances.

Okay. Considering Cincy is gonna win today.
Assuming we win as well, is winning the division possible?

Does anyone know what happens if SD and Ravens end up with same record? Ravens go 1-1 and SD 2-0?

If it's just us and SD, we advance. If it's us, SD, and Miami, Miami advances. If it's us and Mia, we advance.

Yes. The only way Cincy locks up the division is if we lose. Which also wouldn't be so bad because those guys wouldn't have much to play for next week and probably wouldn't play their starters knowing we'd be right back there the following week for the wildcard.

I think the dolphins are done. Tanne is hurt and the defense is gassed after getting gashed all game. Very good game to watch and reminds me why we lost to the Bills. Glad they are taking out the trash for us today.

That's not right. is it?  Why would including SD in the tie have Miami going?

I guess because it would become a three way tie rather than a two way tie which I think means that the tiebreaker would be common opponents and then AFC victories. But I must admit that I'm not sure.

I don't get it, why?

I checked the playoff machine, if all three win Miami gets in which is baffling me since we get the tiebreaker over them. You'd think us or San Diego would have the playoff spot in that situation.

In a 3 way tie, the tiebreaker goes to conference record, which Miami has over us.

If the ravens play like they did today in cincy. They will get 42 hung on them like the Vikings did today.

Stupid how we have the individual tiebreaker over Miami and SD, but in a 3-way tie we don't. But we don't deserve to be in the playoffs anyway so really it doesn't matter.

so we need to win at bengals and hope one of miami or chargers lose; bengals can only get 3rd seed now as the highest (patsies won't lose at home to the bills); chiefs have got nothing to play for; jets might play for the pride; man what a terrible mess
