But Miami would win if there was a three way tie due to their superior conference record.  We only beat Miami in a tiebreaker if there is no one else tied with us two.

SD and Ravens Beat Miami in a 3 way tiebreaker, because BOTH teams Beat Miami then moves to a two way tiebreaker format then Ravens advance cause of récord vs common opponets. Both Ravens and SD have same conference record.

That would be how it worked, except that Miami actually beat San Diego, which is why it does not work out that way.

IIm sure alot of you have realized this but for those who dont , we could actually become the 2nd seed with a bye.

If.....  We win out  and the PATS lose the their last game of the yr.

And of course the COLTs would have to lose atleast one game if not we would become the 3rd seed.

I know alot could happen but i dont think alot of people even know that its possible.

It would be awesome that the RAVENS could possibly host the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP.

But i would honestly settle for just winning the DIVISION.

I said for weeks that we could win the division and i could see the BENGALS Losing their last 3 games so its 1 down 2 to go for the BUNGLES.

You are correct. I thought SD Beat Miami. Looks like Ravens outside looking in, unless they win out.

Could have sworn the votes for "died in Cleveland" were higher than they are now.

Bunch of vote changing losers! I want names!

I know right!

I voted guaranteed! right when the poll was created and never flinched. This is a team of destiny.

Am I right that the Dolphins also control their own destiny now that the Bengals lost, too?  I can't think of a scenario that they don't make the playoffs if they win out, now.  That means we have four teams fighting for the last three playoff spots who are all in control of their own fate.  This is awesome, stressful, exciting, intense, crazy, wild, fun and torturing.  The life of a Ravens fan.

Yes, I believe they are in if they win out.

The playoff scenarios this upcoming week from profootball talk .. I only copied over the AFC teams as who cares about the NFC teams right now.  Let them beat each other up.  In the end, we only need to face one of them in New York in what should perfect Ravens football weather.

Denver clinches the AFC West and a first-round bye with a win and a Kansas City loss, and clinches home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win, a Kansas City loss and a New England loss.

New England clinches the AFC East with a win or a Miami loss. New England also clinches a first-round bye with a win and losses by Cincinnati and Indianapolis. And New England can clinch a playoff spot even with a loss this week, if Cincinnati also loses.

Cincinnati clinches the AFC North with a win and a Baltimore loss. Cincinnati clinches a playoff spot with a win and a Miami loss.

Baltimore clinches a playoff spot with a win, a Miami loss and a San Diego loss.

Miami clinches a playoff spot with a win, a Baltimore loss and a Cincinnati loss.

Yes,  I realized this after they won last week.  We really have no option but to win out.  That's why I went into full playoff mode last night, even started growing the beard because we can't lose.

Yeah, the votes for that option dropped by a good 9% the past few weeks. :p

Hadn't heard anywhere that they also control their own destiny, but it looks like you're right.  The only teams in the AFC that can finish 10-6 or better right now are Denver, Kansas City, Indianapolis, New England, Miami, Cincinnati, and Baltimore.

Denver and Kansas City are already guaranteed that one of them will win the division and one will win the #5 seed.  Indianapolis is already a division winner.  So that leaves NE, MIA, CIN, and BAL who can all finish 10-6 or better and are fighting for 3 playoff spots (East & North winners, and #6 seed).

If NE finishes 11-5 or better, then:

If BAL finishes 10-6, they win the North, leaving CIN at best at 10-6, and MIA has the tie-breaker over them for the wild card.

If BAL doesn't finish 10-6, MIA has the better record over them and gets the wild card.

If NE finishes 10-6, then MIA wins the East.

Hmm, yep, both BAL and MIA control their own destinies.  Only BAL controls their destiny for the division, and MIA only controls their destiny for the #6 seed.

How great would it be to see the Pats miss out on the playoffs?  I know it's unlikely since they have the Bills in week 17, but I'd be so ecstatic lol.

Anyone see Michael david smiths article on pft?a crowned the bengals as division champs and said miami get the final wildcard

There was this little blur on the ESPN Bengals Blog:

If the script in the AFC North hasn’t been flipped, it has at least undergone a major modification. The Cincinnati Bengals are on their way to a second straight AFC North title -- they shared it last season with the Ravens --

Lol at what point did we start sharing titles. I can vividly remember the Ravens celebrating the Division Title after the NYG game and resting starters in Week 17 because of it. In fact there is video proof of it. Maybe I missed the part where they said Co-AFC North Champs. Did those hats and shirts have Co-Champ on them?

It would totally rock the world of the sports talking heads.  I would love it.  Who's to say they recover if we beat them this week?  Aside from Brady, the rest of the team might simply lose faith that they can win after all their injuries.  They were a missed field goal against Cleveland away from this game being make or break.

Haha, I'll bet they didn't feel that way when they had to pack up and travel to Houston for the first playoff game.

Go Bills. Go Raiders.

Raiders have no shot. Thier defense is abysmal. I think Buffalo at home wins. Buffalo tough place to play.

We are talking about the Chargers here. They are like the most talented team to not make the playoffs each year and it's usually because they find a way to beat themselves against teams they should beat. But I agree, i'd pick Mia to lose before SD

KC will be looking to steal the division.

Depends on if they beat the Colts this weekend or not.  The Broncos aren't losing to the Texans.
