Defense

Most un clutch defense I've ever seen. I don't care what happens for three and a half quarters. The last three losses all we needed was a stop and they failed. Pathetic.

Yeah, where is the pass rush?  Too much bend and don't break.  We should be more aggressive in those situations.

I was saying it before it even happened. I don't know what it is with this defense. It's like they expect themselves to fail in the last 3 minutes of every game. Just awful. Three games in a row now...

yup, we cant get any pressure without blitzing, we cant tackle, we dont really force turnovers, and our secondary plays high the whole game. with that being said, for the most part the run d was pretty good. well it was a fun season guys, see ya next year

Soft defense.  We hardly zone blitzed at all today.  At all.  Newsflash for Pees, when Suggs and Dumervil aren't getting pressure by themselves, you rework your game plan and start overloading or stunting more than just twice the entire game.

For as crappy as that D was last year they seemed to come up with stops when they needed them more often than not.  And certainly more than 0 for an entire month.

On the first touchdown, Dumervil was in Campbell's face, and Campbell literally got that ball out in under two seconds. Yet, Corey Graham had already been beaten at that point.

Somebody please tell me how your coverage can be beaten in under two seconds.

I keep saying - no Ray, no Ed - nobody there to position the players to make a stop. When they did, refs called two BS penalties. The interesting thing for me is that our D seems to be able to either play solid run defense or pressure QB but not both at the same time.

Also, the edge rush was okay, the problem was there was no interior pass rush, and Campbell just stepped up and threw or ran the ball every time. That's why Daryl Smith's sack play was successful - because he brought it from up the middle.

If Flacco showed up in the first half and mixed in a few first downs instead of overthrowing, underthrowing and throwing behind receivers maybe the defense wouldn't be gassed.  Flacco is the highest paid player on the field AAV but you wouldn't know it if his play was the litmus test..

Well I guess it's safe to say Pees won't be continuing the tradition of Ravens DC becoming HC. He's going to fall in line with Mattison.

Last year, I lowered defensive expectations due to Pagano being gone, and injuries. This season I felt like with offseason investments on defense it could be better. Statistically it's better than last season, but they crumble game in and out.

This defense is horrible and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we see Dean Pees fired. I'm not sure if it's his fault but the thing is the team isn't playing hard for him on defense. I find that strange. Perhaps a Cam Cameron shake-up is what we need and Pees can be the sacrifice for it to happen. I think we might see something very soon. The team can't be pleased with this especially when we invested heavily into our defense to "rebuild" it.

I'm wondering if it's on Daryl & Elam. I'd personally prefer we put McClain back at the MIKE but it might be too late for it. McClain at least knew the plays and got guys into position when Ray was gone. Put Daryl back at WLB.

we were winning the time of possession battle until that sixth minute drive by a lose five minutes. The defense was not gassed. Argument null and void

The Ravens lose the TOP battle almost every game. There's still some age on that defense. They were gassed.

I'd say your argument that Flacco was going to turn it on in his 6th season has been proven null and void.

they lost it by 30 seconds and the browns had a six minute drive to end the game, how the hell were the gassed. The ravens won the top until that drive. You just don't have a clue

Ravens had the ball 29:10 minutes, Browns were 30:50. If it wasn't for that painful, final drive the Ravens would be handily ahead. The "tired" excuse has come and gone.

The defense wasn't gassed. Stupid penalties and some really dumb player execution with some rather questionable calls at times were what did us in here. The defense didn't play well. That's all.

thank you and thank you. They just couldn't get a stop when it mattered. I like my qb to be clutch, my kicker to be clutch, and I'd like my defense that way aswell.

Lee Evans and cundiff were run out of town for making mistakes when it mattered, in those clutch moments. The defense is doig exactly what they done.

Let see the defense gives up 7 points in the third on what a 12 yard drive? ???? They give up 3 points in the forth but the defense sucks?? LOL

Flacco gets a pass on soiling himself the whole first half???

Same old stuff.

He can't do jack when he's not on the field.
