If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and acts likes a duck, it probably is a duck. How many times do we have to watch this team do the same thing (blow loads in the first half, barely put up enough points to stay close in the second) until we stop making excuses and agree that they are just BAD?

The run game was horrid.. again. The defensive line wasn't so bad to be honest.

 

Our secondary was letting themselves get torched every critical play. Joe was off, I'm on the opposite spectrum of a "Flacco hater", but he missed throws, failed to lead receivers on occasion.. etc. He was good at times, in fact, I think if we had more time on the clock he could have scored in the end there. 

 

This game was a burden to watch.

Sami84 hit the nail on the head. They just suck. Not only is it the offense, but our defense is anti-clutch and shoots themselves in the foot at the end of every game. You think after 8 weeks of failure at the ZBS they would go back to what worked last year just 1on1 power running, but no castillo and whoever on this coaching staff, must have too much pride or something to abandon it. I cant remember ever watching Ravens games and becoming so angry and upset. It hasn't even been enjoyable to watch games lately. It's sickening.

Maybe that had to do with the fact in his early years we had much higher draft picks? A couple years of mediocrity might be good for us if it means another 5 year playoff streak and another Super Bowl

Well, I'm pretty hopeful and I love the Ravens and even if we don't make the playoffs this is still my team. With that said, losing to Cleveland really stings and we're now 3-5 and this isn't good. I think there's a very high chance we are not making the playoffs now. I recognize we're only 2.5 games behind Cincinnati and a lot can change. We could still make the playoffs. No doubt. It's just I don't see it with the way the team is playing right now.

 

We're just not playing well and barring some ridiculous mid-season shake-up the likes of which we haven't seen since Cam Cameron was fired, I can't see anything changing. This team isn't scrappy enough. We're not on the same page. It's very clear. I've seen too much sloppy play from this team to feel otherwise. The DL is getting pushed around. The secondary is getting caught out of position a lot. People are confused out there on defense. WRs run routes and aren't in sync with Joe. The RBs aren't getting the yards we need. The OL isn't getting the push it needs. Even our star players like Yanda, Ngata, Webb are struggling. 

 

It's not that we're not good. I still think we're good. We're just not fighting. We're not tenacious. We don't have that tenacity. Frankly, I'd rather have a losing season than make the playoffs so we can have a better draft pick. I'm not even mad. I just don't see us going far in the post-season if we even make it. We're not fighting. We need to fight and we're not. We're very poor in communication in the secondary. Guys are out of position too much. We're missing Ed Reed putting us into position. 

 

Hey, maybe something changes next week. Maybe this loss is the fire it takes to make a push. It can happen. Our season isn't over yet and a lot can change between now and week 17. I'm not saying we should lose and I'm not saying I hope we lose. I'm saying I don't think this team is mentally strong enough yet to overcome this and unless our players get inspired really fast, we won't go far if we make the playoffs.

3-5 and a 3 game losing streak!  after a nearly 2 week bye...they came out there and stunk up the joint and have been doing so for 8 weeks now!  8 damn weeks of the same ole' crap! pathetic!  the reality is that this team is what it is!  the game and film don't lie!  they are horrible, sorry, they suck and they are down right awful!  they are no good!  I expect more of the same the rest of the way!  and that for me....is sad to say about my Ravens!
