Joe is starting look like Boller. Oh, no I didn't mean it. Maybe, it's b/c the O-line can't block. Another loss on Sunday. :bitenails: Harbs looks worried.

Stick a fork in the Ravens...we are done this year. The ofensive line shows a contsistency in it's inabiltiy to open holes for the run game or protect the q-back and  handle the blitz. The opposing teams don't have to score that many points to beat us, the offense is just that inept. I'm tired of hearing Flacco tell the press that 'we are a good team', when each week we show otherwise (so who's kidding who)? We have only played one good game this year and that was against the Texans, last time I checked they can't win either, so who really have we beaten? Expect a possible blow out by Cincy, not becuase becuase they are so good rather we are just that bad on scoring. Too much needs to be fixed on offense... personell changes specifically. We may, and I say may win 2- 3 more games this year. While I will still route for them to win, reality has set in.

I am pleasantly surprised that some post are positive. WE have a chance to right this ship . I think if john wants his job he has no choice but to yank  what obviously is not working . I have faith Ozzie will step in he is not a stupid man if the fans can see the issue he knows too . I too, like others, bought into the rumors that the scheme was being changed and Castillo was demoted . I just don't understand why for the love of god are we still doing something that is an abject failure .after this they have no choice.

Let's go beat the bengals .

Love the sig . to bad it won't work this year .

I wonder how many of the "stick a fork in the Ravens" were the same ones saying the same thing after Houston clobbered us last season. I also wonder how many will show their faces again if we make a wildcard spot or (gasp!) win the division.

We're not done yet. It would have been nice to see the Ravens take advantage of that Cincy loss but for some reason, we always, and I mean always, do things the back against the wall tough way.

It's pretty much a must win versus Cincy but we're not even done if we lose that one because the wildcard race is fairly close with no one looking great.

We all love our team but lets stop with this being blind to the facts way of thinking. What has this team shown you that they can win both Cinn's games????

Yeah I haven't seen a whole lot of what I define as "loving our team" from a lot of posters in here since the preseason.

I didn't say we would win. I merely pointed out that this loss is not our death knell and that our forum would be missing quite a few posters who only show up when the team is doing poorly should they turn it around.

Same thing happened last season. Doom & gloom and we were done and it was over and we were missing the playoffs, then we'd be one & done in the playoffs blah blah blah. There is being real and there is just getting off being pessimistic.

Thing is we were 9-2 last season. We were actually winning games. This is another animal. Something is broken with this team and I don't know what it is. You can't seriously watch this team play and tell me everything is going to be ok in future games. Tell me any positives about this  years team.

truth of the matter ravensdfan is that the same can be said for the constant "optimistic" side of this coin....

we can't run the ball but we'll be fine...blah blah blah

we gotta execute better...blah blah blah

we lost 3 straight games but we'll be fine...blah blah blah

offense played like trash...again for the 8 straight week but we'll be fine....blah blah blah

defense is atrocious but they were tired...blah blah blah

we practice really really hard...blah blah blah

we looked like the bad news bears after nearly a 2 week bye but we'll be okay...blah blah blah

for me...."loving our team" doesn't mean that we have to ACCEPT everything we see on the field; good, bad or ugly!  it also doesn't mean that you have to "try" to find a silver lining in everything and always say something positive!  smh!  in order to change something you must acknowledge that it is broken or not working!  anything else is just wishful thinking without action!  i love our team like the next but I hate it with a passion at how they are playing and will say so!  and, whenever they finally do something that is praiseworthy....i'll gladly give our team their props!

I absolutely concur. I've been complaining as loud as anyone else about our stagnant position and lack of improvement from week to week.

However, I've seen way too many that have crawledl out from under their rocks  since we lost those 3 in a row last season. Ones that we never heard from during or since our success last season.

I'm sure you've seen them too. They take some perverse glee any time we are in a funk.

This particular topic is about the Bengals game:

keeping it real: We still have a shot but.......

getting off on the funk:  Well I called it didn't I? We lost and what do you have to say now?

There's a difference.

yes!  i have seen them!  but so what?  you can't control them!  you can't control what they post!   lol!

this is an open forum for people to voice their opinions.  and we both know; everyone will not have the same opinion or agree on everything in this place!  with that said; i for one; want our Ravens to be the Ravens!  i can't stand this mediocre, barely middle of the road or pack gameplay that we are witnessing from them.  i can't stand it!  to me...it is inexcusable!  i understand the whole; "we are a different team" thing cause we are!  but something has to be done!  what?  well!  we can all come up with a whole lot of things; some that make no sense, and then some that makes tons of sense but won't mean nothing unless the FO and coaches make a move in a different direction.  until then, i'll cheer our boys on to be great and yet, i will bust their chops when they are horrible....like i have seen for 8 weeks now!  enough of putting this trashy product on the field week in and week out!  smh!

It's pretty much a must win versus Cincy but we're not even done if we lose that one because the wildcard race is fairly close with no one looking great.

After the Dolphins game I pointed out that everyone was really high on the team simply because we won. Had they pulled out some flukish hail mary and won the game in the game's final throes then the melt thread would have gone ballistic. We still would have played the same game against them, but the perception becomes seriously different just because of one play that comes down more to luck than skill.

The point is that I think people overreact based on results. If we'd lost that game, we'd be talking about all the bad stuff that happened and how the team is done. Instead, we were talking about what finally got fixed and how our defence was finally gelling.

Let's get some perspective here: the Browns haven't allowed a 300-yard passer or a 100-yard rusher all season. They're an extremely good team and it took a seriously bottled punt to score what turned out to be the dagger. And that 4th and 6 was another one of those freak plays that you see. There's nothing you can do about it when a QB can dump it off while running for his life and still get a first down. Make no mistake, I died inside when I saw it, but that was a good play by Cleveland and not symptomatic of how the season is done (see my point about the Dolphins game).

The o-line actually opened up holes this time and I actually think Joe takes more of the blame than usual. Some of his passes were off and he made some pretty average decisions on most of those three and outs. But I also think he'll play better next week at home. We still suck at picking up blitzes, but I think that'll improve as Gino gets more experience.

I still think we match up really well with the Bengals. We've managed to shut down AJ Green in the past and Joe's shown he can get the hurry-up working at home. That'll help with cutting their defensive rotations and I think it's why we blew them out last year. This time around they don't have Geno.

If we win, we go to 4-6 and they go to 6-3. I've said this before and I'll say it again: we don't know how any particular week will play out. The Bengals will drop games as well. I get that we haven't looked like winning another Lombardi yet, but we haven't exactly been getting flogged every week either. I actually think it's embarrassing when a Bengals fan has to come in and provide some optimism and perspective on the Ravens season (no disrespect Bengal Billy, I've actually liked your posts so far).

If we lose, I'm prepared to say we have a serious uphill battle for even a wild card spot. But if we win, this race is only getting started. And I don't think we've been playing as badly as people are making out.

Nope can't control them but I can certainly call them on their bull.

I agree. I can take us losing if we could see we are at least trying to improve. I'm just not seeing it.

But I'll be there every week cheering and hoping we win, same as you.

Remember when we lost to the skins? It was our third consecutive loss. Man, TONS of people here pulled up their tent stakes and packed it in.

yes i do remember!  BUT!  that team had tremendous leaders on it and it was full of promise and potential and they eventually played up to it.  this team?  they are:

Lewis-less

Reed-less

Pollard-less

Boldin-less

Birk-less

etc, etc, etc.  get the point?  this is a different season with different players!  they have to stand on their "own" two feet now!

Oh I get the point.
I agree this new version of the Ravens is having not only an identity crisis, but a unity crisis as well.
This team does infact need to put on their big boy pants and stand on their own two feet.
My point is, right now we have all the components we need to accomplish this. I believe they are able and they can.

Will they is the question. ...

Yes that is what I said.

i'm calling it now: we beat the bengals at home. it may not be enough to save our season, but i truly believe we beat the bengals AND the steelers at home this year.  we've been close in our all of our lossess (except denver) and i think we'll make the necessary push to get the w this time.  just get some pressure on dalton and it will go from there.

We can only afford to lose 2 more games in all honestly. This one we defiantly can't lose.

However I think we lose this one by 3 again. Flacco running around again. Same old Same old.

I'm excited about Asa Jackson coming back. It's weird Jimmy smith gets injured too.

Hopefully he gives us that needed boost at the CB position.

Definitely tired of your extreme acts of defiance towards our future winning percentage
