Here's what makes them the worst 9-0 team ever

Their wins aren't convincing, their not dominant

If someone were to tell me a 8-0 team was playing a team with Jeff Tuel as their QB in the NFL with a 3-5 record, I'd say the 9-0 team would win by 20 points at least. But that wasn't the case.

It's been like this all season. Their only dominant win was against the Jags...

They beat DAL by 10.

Wait until they play the Broncos before you make any final decisions whether they are overrated or not. They honestly may surprise quite a lot of folks in the football world. They definitely match up very well against them.

What makes them worst? Championship caliber teams find ways to win those close games. They find ways to win no matter what, it doesn't matter who plays or not. Next man up as we say and quite honestly Alex Smith has done more for the Chiefs than Cassel ever did.

Chiefs already were loaded with talent but were missing the quarterback and now while Smith may not be the guy long term, he is leading them to the number one seed at the moment.

Not only were they missing a QB, they were missing a coach as well. Even without a QB, with 7 Pro Bowlers on your team, you should still at least go 7-9/8-8, if not more than that. Andy Reid/Alex Smith are a perfect marriage in the football world, as they both complement each other perfectly. Reid's offense matches Smith's talents to the T.

The score was 17-16...

Your a Raiders fan so your pretty biased but I think this speaks for itself......

From Schefter's Facebook:

Kansas City has held each of its opponents to 17 or fewer points this season, the longest streak by any team to start a season since 1977 Falcons.

Pretty Easy in my book to be one of the best 8-0 teams with a defense as strong as that.

Again look at the QBs they've faced
Outside of Romo and Vick they've had it easy

We'll give you the Jax game. Eli Manning has been MVP on 2 Super Bowl Teams. Browns have 4 wins so irrespective of whether Campbell won all 4 or not, that TEAM is pretty darn competitive. From what I understand, Oakland always plays KC pretty tough and this time it wasn't as close. Call it what you want. But a win is a win is a win. Patriots aren't 9-0. Packers aren't 9-0. Broncos aren't 9-0. Seattle isn't 9-0.

We'll discuss this more after the broncos game
I'm willing to say if I'm wrong

It will not be enough to validate your point. They play twice. What will you say if they split their series? 9-0 means you are very close to the playoffs. Especially this year since the AFC is not as strong (assuming they lost the next 7)

Lol of course they are a playoff team
They are one of the better teams in the NFL
There is no arguing that

I'm just saying I don't like the week-to-week analysis of teams. They will play twice. And then they may even play a third time.

Defense is lethal. Running game is great. QB who doesn't turn it over.

They're legit, but they don't scare me as much as Denver or Indy.

I've noticed they've had trouble against newer QB's. Not that those QB's are good but they probably didn't have much film on them.

We need to get back to playing like that.....

I honestly don't know how our record is what it is with how bad out run game has been.

Say what you want about their opponents, but you'd think that in this league even second-rate scrubs would be able to put up more than 12.3ppg.

A lot of people don't like what they're seeing, but I reckon they at least sweep the series with Denver and win the division.

They win ugly. Sounds a lot like us.

But this week I have to go with Denver. I don't think any defense can control Peyton Manning, and an offense that is good but not great will not be able to keep up.

Here is the thing. Their defense is Great, one of the best. But they haven't played anyone! They haven't played a team with a winning record. I think the Broncos will dominate them because the offense can't outscore. They will be exposed.

Well well well ladies, KC has lost three straight

Twice to the Broncos (winning record), and once to the Chargers of all teams

They have lost their division lead and are now 1-2 vs teams with a winning record (win vs Cowboys by 1 point)

Their next game against a good opponent is vs Indy, meaning they are set to play a grand total of 4 games vs winning teams this season.

I'm still confident that KC can win at Arrowhead against DEN in Lucky Week 13.

Nope.

Well they got swept, and no.

I meant split in that post, but it's semantics.

Anyway, I was just coming on to here to publicly declare that I was wrong about the Chiefs. Losing their pass rush has been huge beyond belief, but I think their offence has been shown up these last few weeks as not being able to put points on quickly when called to, and it looks like their secondary has been overrated by the great pass rush they've been able to work with (hardly a surprise, and you could argue we've got the same story going on).

They're still a good team, but I think they're one based on controlling the game. It's interesting to think how they could still miss the playoffs altogether. Are they the worst 9-0 team, though? I think their losses have come from tough circumstancesso it's hard to get an accurate idea.

I'm actually impressed with how their offense has stepped up, mostly to account for their defensive injuries. They've put up decent points the last two weeks, perhaps they can turn it on when necessary.

I think Reid is going QB at the end of the first, if Boyd is there that's a guaranteed lock IMO. Smith hasn't played poorly, but his limitations are clear and, while you can appreciate ball security, he's hesitant to throw deep even when it's there.

They held their own against the Broncos. They looked damn good for most of the game.

they looked good for one half. Then, they didn't look so good.
