Are the Chiefs serious? Another game where they are playing another back up? And not just that, another game where they played the back up OF THE BACK UP. WHAT?! Everything is going right for this team. EVERYTHING. No Thad Lewis this week which means Jeff Tuel or Matt Flynn, but it is believed to be Tuel who knows the playbook over the newly signed Flynn. Wow. And even then, this pick will surprise some. Bills are going to win this game. Here me out. Before last weeks game against the Browns, the Chiefs were 21st[/size] in run defense. Then the Browns came in with their lack of rushing and dropped the Chiefs rush d to 10th[/size]. But that is the flaw in this defense: the running defense. That’s why I think the Bills will win. Both Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller are expected to play in this game. A duo like that might be able to propel them over the Chiefs. Oh, did I mention the Chiefs have gone winless in Buffalo since 1986? Yeah. I’ll make a bold statement.

People can discredit the Chiefs all they want but right now they're 8-0 and a lot closer to the playoffs than us. I'd rather be the worst 8-0 team ever than the best 0-8 team ever.

Last year, the Ravens barely beat the Byron Leftwich Steelers and the Matt Cassel Chiefs. We actually loss to the Charlie Batch Steelers and the Rex Grossman Redskins. 5 of our 10 wins could have very well been losses. 

 

 

While their defense, I admit, is pretty scary, their offense has been putrid at times.

 

Could've said the same of us. (Heck, you could say the same of us right now.)

 

I don't think you can determine how good a team is based upon how close their wins are. I think that typically a team that wins close games show weakness, but their resiliency is what ends up winning them championships. I think that the Chiefs deserve the respect of a team that is 8-0, especially by a fanbase that knows what its like to be counted out because you just barely edge out a significantly lesser team.

What makes them worst? Championship caliber teams find ways to win those close games. They find ways to win no matter what, it doesn't matter who plays or not. Next man up as we say and quite honestly Alex Smith has done more for the Chiefs than Cassel ever did. 

 

Chiefs already were loaded with talent but were missing the quarterback and now while Smith may not be the guy long term, he is leading them to the number one seed at the moment.

If someone were to tell me a 8-0 team was playing a team with Jeff Tuel as their QB in the NFL with a 3-5 record, I'd say the 9-0 team would win by 20 points at least. But that wasn't the case.

It's been like this all season. Their only dominant win was against the Jags...
