It's the Confusemant !

47 posts in this topic

I'm still wondering what, 'confusemant' means.  I mean Google is a couple of keyboard punches away, but I'd rather hear it here.  I love suspense.

"Confusemant" is a derivative of both Confused and Adamant.

What it means is that Raven Fans are completely confused by the Raven Front Office's glitches this year and they are adamant about wanting the Front Office redone.

Here's the problem...The lapse is inexcusable.  There is no mitigating excuse. When the statement is "There was error in 2000" and the consequence of that perceived error is over compensating error in 2012 its a clear indictment of thought processing. There's aging going on in that calculation. This is not an old man's decision making game. You age in this game, you fail to correctly identify a problem and then fail in your attempted resolution to that miss perceived "lesson".  It's time to throw in the towel.  There is no second chance. There is no going back. You want to risk this type of decision making in the future when the only change is additional aging?

It's time for a change

I think the bigger debate of this thread was what is the definition of "confusemant" rather than the 'stability of the ravens' which seemed to be the authors originally intent lol

I don't even bother anymore.  He's clearly just here to cause a stir.

Urban Dictionary defines confusement as the state of being confused and amused at the same time. Interesting.

You have a very discerning daughter. Has she given any though to General Management?

Is that a word ? Reading the top post there seemed to be a lot thoughts jumbled together with no real stated point.

Over the years a major problem for the ravens is that teams pick off our coaching staff and backup players to become their HC and Starters. It's been going on forever.

This may be the weirdest/creepiest things you've said on these boards so far.

Goes right along with Patience and Confidence....  I'm just not sure the confusemant goes only with the coaching and front office staff.  Everyone is talking about Ozzie and the Coaches.   We have to meld together...  Offensive players/Defensive players... Coaches/Players.  I'm not so sure that has happened yet.  Just like last year.  Just when they got it together, they fell apart...  It took going into the postseason for everybody to get it together.

He's played well in a few games this season but his game isn't complete yet. He disappears more often than I'd like, especially for a #1 WR.

As much as I like Torrey like most of us here, I'm kind of thinking the same that Torrey is somewhat not really a #1 WR just yet cuz when we need him most, he didn't show up much although he plays hard and great in some games.  I believe he will improve as game goes on....

He also needs help from the outside and inside: guys like Jacoby, Doss, and Brown.....

Also, he is most likely double teamed as well.....

PS: I think I shouldn't think of Megatron when typing this...lol

What do you want changed?  What lapse?  What in the wide world are you talking about?  Have you been taking crazy pills?

What it means is theres like 5 people, who likely didn't start watching football until a few years ago, who want the FO to resign.  Normal people recognize how successful the franchise has been in its short history.

The Baltimore Ravens have always been a first class organization, top to bottom.  NFL free agents

come to Baltimore just to be Ravens. The image is real, not just to chronic homers.

To me, the 3-4 record is not the real problem.

The only reason franchises flounder is poor drafting. We are floundering, more so than our record indicates. It is not one player, call, coach, or draft pick.

We appear to be adrift on the NFL high seas, a Super Bowl winner, and so on and so forth. This post

is not a history lesson. We are all aware of the proud history of this franchise.

However, their now appears too be a revolving door on The Castle. Players coming and going, Coaches coming and not going yet.

What happened to the stability of the Ravens ?

A few years ago the owner made a statement that they needed to build a team to beat the Steelers. They did that and won a Super Bowl. I believe Steve needs to develop and state a new goal. That hasn't happened yet, so the team just drifts in the meantime. They are trying to get better by using the revolving door but they don't have a target or specific goal. Can they do it without finding a team to target?

What's the point of this thread? I'm not being sarcastic. I genuinely don't know where you're going with this.

I just saw this thread and was thinking the same thing Grim.
