all birds of a feather

Not sure how I feel about that picture choice. Can a bird bath somehow be a pool?

Anywho, GO RAVENS. I know who to blame if we lose. ;)

EDIT : What does your post mean anyway ?!?!?

I feel that we're in a bit of a need for change, so I'm changing the "pool" thing to a "bird" twist, but keeping the water element while transitioning...

yep, i'll take it... broad shoulders lol... also we do NOT lose to the browns!!!

hidden meaning is that "Birds of a feather flock together"

I don't like it. You don't mess with tradition!

"Tradition becomes our security, and when the mind is secure it is in decay."

I don't like change!

"Tradition is the illusion of permanence."

Nope. Don't like it. You need to be banned from being able to post first. How are we all supposed to get in a flipping bird bath?!? This was here way before you. ;)

Ravens are 3-0 when I've posted first in the Game Thread!!!

Also the "flipping bird bath" is a metaphor as you already realised lol.

Geesh though crowd y'lot...

Well the pool hasn't worked out great thus far ,maybe a change is needed, but we need a consensus to agree

I agree. The pool worked for last year, but doesn't seem to be holding up this year. Perhaps birdbaths will be the thing. I'd prefer to see the bird head up, though.

(Then again, maybe our issues come from the mess up for the first game of the year and that put the jinx on us.)

We need to beat the teams we should beat.  We're undefeated against teams that come into the game with a winning record, but we lose games to bum teams too often.  So far, the Browns haven't gotten the better of us.  That will continue.  I think we win this comfortably.

I don't mind changing it up though I don't believe we'll magically win or lose based upon a picture. Never did and I'm sure many agree with that though I know there are quite a few superstitious folk around here. I didn't like the picture though. Could've been better.

all birds of a feather

This shows we are sinking this Sunday...

Going to be nervous, going to this game.....

It's the Brown like usual but the statement we stamp ourselves on Sunday will dictate the rest of the season cuz we just came out from a bye week....

The Bengals opened the door for us and we need to run through it. Despite trailing by 2 games we are actually in the driver seat right now. This isn't really a must win, but in order to be the team we wanna be, this is a must win.

As for how we win this game. I actually think the offense had one of it's better games vs the Steelers and it was because we opened up the pass game. I think that needs to be the game plan for the Browns as well. They have a pretty solid defense and using the short passing game as an extension of the run will really help to keep the Browns on their heels.

Campbell is a pretty good deep thrower and makes good decisions when given time to throw. However if the Ravens can jump out to a big enough lead to make the Browns 1 dimensional then Campbell will definitely give the Ravens a couple of chances at picks.

"Drivers seat"- definitely a stretch to say that

"Drivers seat"- definitely a stretch to say that

Not a stretch at all imo. My definition of drivers seat is being in a position where all you have to do is win and take care your own business with no outside help.

This will consist of a lot of IFs, but only because it''ll take weeks to manifest. But the Ravens are definitely in the driver's seat imo.

The Bengals currently sit at 6-3 while the Ravens are 3-4. "IF" the Ravens can manage a win against the Browns they'll improve to 4-4,  while the Bengals remain at 6-3. Next week will be key for both teams as the Bengals come to the Bank. "IF'  Ravens win that game they will improve to 5-4, while the Bengals fall to 6-4. The next week the Ravens play the Bears and Bengals play the Browns. "IF" both teams win they improve to 6-4 and 7-4 respectively. The next week is where the driver's seat comment becomes more real. The Ravens host the Jets and "IF" they win will improve to 7-4, while the Bengals will have a bye and remain at 7-4.

With both teams sitting at 7-4, the Ravens would technically be in first place of the AFC North because of the head to head win vs the Bengals. As long as the Ravens continue to win, they control their destiny, regardless of how doom and gloom this season seems. If all you have to do is win your games and you don't need any help, I definitely call that being in the driver's seat.
