Would it be crazy to call Noah the best center in the league right now? Because I believe he's there.

He's up there, i'll go Cousins or Hibbert.

Nothing Impresses me about the Thunder. To me there is nothing special about them and even if some how they make it to the finals they don't have enough to beat a stacked team like the Heat or Pacers. Russell Westbrook is still shaky coming off the injuries and takes away from KDs overall dominance in big games IMO. I think SanAntonio, Portland and Houston will give em a run in the playoffs.

KD is a beast but they don't really have anyone else besides him and Westbrook.

I have Noah after Hibbert, MGasol, and Dwight. But Noah is a scrappy player and puts up tripdubs like they are nothing.

Best fits for Melo next season?

I've been thinking Bulls for awhile. That's just an obvious good fit.

LA would be horrible IMO and I can't see him going to Phoenix.

Wizards would be the best fit IMO. He's exactly what they need and the Wiz should have the $ for him. I think someone else might have to come though to join forces with him. Maybe Monroe?

He's from around the area and he'd make them a ton of money. He'd have a true superstar PG and would make a good compliment with Beal. Maybe Otto develops and they could play small in the coming years.

Melo in DC would be the best fits for both of them IMO. Wall would flourish with a pure scoring superstar to dish it out to.

Im not sure how much cap the Wizards have but John Wall, Bradley Beal and Carmelo would be a nasty big 3. Carmelo would love to come home to the metro area where he made his name growing up. The Wizards are already molding into contenders Melo would be a HUGE improvement and give them the extra push they need.

I could also see Melo going to Portland, Detroit, Chicago, and maybe even the Rockets although I dont know which teams can afford him.

Thunder are pretty good. They'll be the favorites In the west with Westbrook back

I could see that happening...but there are a few other teams in the west who could make an upset.

The west is stacked like Purple_ICE says.
Thunder are the favorites, but the Spurs, Rockets and Clippers can all give them a run for their monies. With the Blazers and Warriors as dark horses and Memphis will give some team fits because of their grit also. I bet the Grizzlies make it in the playoffs before it's all said and done.

Thunder Clippers and the Spurs are in a tier of their own IMO. Can't see any other team representing the West this year.

Curious to your reasoning for leaving the Rockets out of their "tier" when they have a better record than the Clippers and are what 3 or 4 games behind the Spurs which they seem to match up very well with and the Thunder which they seem to match up pretty bad with.

They would be next in line...

I just have trouble believing in them is all.... Until they prove something in the playoffs. I guess It makes me hypocritical since I'm convinced the Clippers are legitimate. Come playoff time

I think LAC edges them over coaching, PG play and down low. I also think they have better depth which is obviously critical in the playoffs.

They're a great team and all but I have trouble seeing them get past those 3 teams.

I also have other reasons, idiotic or not. I can't see it stating in the history books "During their first year together, Dwight Howard and James Harden led the Rockets to their first NBA championship in ---"

I'm sorry but I can't see it lol

Lol, that's fair enough. I don't think they are true contenders this year myself. I would limit that to the Spurs, Thunder, Heat and Pacers. But there are several other teams that have a shot, and the Rockets and Clippers are definitely among them as I stated in a previous post. I don't see how the Clippers have a better chance than the Rockets but I guess we just differ on that one. Houston has been ballin' as of late. Really starting to gel. So I look forward to the playoffs. From having Scola, Chase Budinger and Aaron Brooks and being the perennial 9th seed. To Howard, Harden and Parsons and having a shot is exciting.

I have a strange feeling about Portland...its like when Damian Lillard wants them to win...they win. He is becoming a very clutch player and although they don't have many flashy players around him they find ways to win as a team and have some decent coaching. Eager to see what they can do this year come playoff time.

The Rockets seemingly have the makings of a playoff contender too, good backcourt with Howard controlling things in the paint.

Its going to be another good year for NBA playoffs.

Im predicting a San Antonio Pacer finals with San Antonio taking the crown and Timmy going out on top.

It will be good in the west and unimportant til the conference finals in the east. I hate the Knicks ownership for making me hate basketball. Hoping Melo stays but dont know why he would.

Yea the eastern conference is like a deserted island where only the Heat and Pacers roam the land.

Heat vs the Bulls was great. I love watching Noah, he had another huge game. I can't remember seeing a center handle the ball so much.

Some truly epic wins for the Rockets this week. First over the Heat, then blowing out the Pacers handing them their biggest loss of the season and then a great comeback and OT win over the Blazers tonight. Harden haters rejoice!

Those two are pretty dominant though lol.

And funny enough they both are on  losing streaks...must  be the drinking water or something.

I watched that game against the Pacers and the ting that surprised me even more than Harden going off was Roy Hibbert getting dominated in the post by Dwight. Hibbert needs to get back into playoff mode.

Howard has been playing fantastic as of late. He just doesn't get the recognition for it anymore.

I have been a Howard fan ever since his days in Orlando...fun guy to watch, although he got on my bad side through all the trade talk and selfishness  antics once he became bigtime. But still respect him... he has developed from a raw skinny center into one of the strongest most skilled bigs in the game. Rockets could be a dark horse to win the west.

Yeah, Dwightmare was unbearable. But I've always loved him. I definitely think they are if they can keep playing like they have lately. The team is really gelling. And the trade for Hamilton at the deadline has actually been huge. Makes them much more athletic than when they had Casspi and Garcia coming off the bench. Asik is back healthy, Jones has emerged and Beverly has been on a roll. They can be really dangerous.
