TE Tony Moeaki rumors

Heard rumors we signed him, don't know a lot about the situation or him as a player besides the fact that he was just released by the Chiefs yesterday. 

 

Anyone with information that can confirm?

 

Edit: He's still injured, wouldn't be ready until about week 11. All I know.

Yeah usually if there's nothing on Twitter, that's not a good thing.  And that's just a general Twitter search that turned up nothing.

 

I did see something from National Football Post that Moeaki would be visiting the Ravens, but that story has since been deleted.

TE is still one of our needs. We need somebody opposite Pitta that isn't old and slow ( Sorry Dallas, you make plays but its true ) and Dickson is still  a question mark at this point.

Moeaki was a more complete TE than Pitta but Moeaki is made of glass.  KC would love to still have Moeaki if he wasnt hurt every 8 games.

I'd take Pitta's toughness any day. I was at the AFC Championship and saw him take a huge shot from Mayo that made me cringe in pain from the seats. That should have been defenseless receiver, but instead of dropping the ball and calling for a flag, he got up and scored the very next play. 

 

If Pitta gets back it adds a lot more to our offense. A lot, anyone know about Furstenburgs status or why we would consider signing a tight end with him there?

He was rising to stardom just like pitta was.   

Then a freak accident derailed him and his never been same since.   His been a nobody for 2 years in IR/PUP/injuries @ practice/on-field...

 

Not sure what to think about this move..if its true.

Well, this isn't the strangest news ever. I remember reading rumors somewhere in the beginning of the season that said we had traded for Jason Witten. Crazy talk.

I was just pointing out his all around ability as a TE.  He wasn't as smooth in his routes as Pitta but was a good receiving TE and he could actually block.

It's not legit.  There's absolutely no record online of any contact with the Ravens and Moeaki since they met in 2010 for the draft.
