RB Beanie Wells tears achilies trying out for us, we sign RB Bernard Scott instead

2.9yds/carry! I think you're saying we got the best of the worse!!

I'm saying that he's not bad for a third string RB and there aren't many people out there as good as him. It's completely inconsequential. Whether we sign him or not, it doesn't even matter.

All this does is make me think that Anthony Allen really pissed off Coach Harbaugh... Bernard Scott who?

Idk. Allen hasn't been picked up by another team. He must not be all that.

Yep! Ever since the Ravens cut Anthony Allen, no team has picked him up.

And, honestly, at this point, Baltimore might as well bring him back. No other free agent RB will do that much, at this point. Plus, Allen was unappreciated as a special teams player. This team needs a guy like him.

its obvious now that cutting allen and laquan williams was a HUGE mistake, because at least allen knew our offense in case he was needed in a pinch, and LQ would have been nice to have in our first few weeks when we were paper thin at WR, but while neither of these players would even come close to seeing the field in a healthy offensive lineup, releasing those players is the EXACT and SOLE reason that our ST is playing so awful right now, laquan, allen, and chykie have been hands down our best ST players the pastfew years, and we cut 2 of them for guys like levine and miles and trawick.. that was such a huge mistake by the FO that i dont think they can bring themselves to own up to it

Why do baseless 'Harbaugh doghouse' accusations spring up whenever a player isn't on the field? Maybe it's the players fault??

Bernard Scott is pretty damn talented. He reminds me a lot of our old backup, Chester Taylor. I'd love to pick him up

It's the calling card of uneducated fans...I ignore it, at least it isn't as bad as calling Harbaugh things like Har-bum...

I've seen everyone accused on being in the doghouse. It's a wonder Harbaugh can find 11 guys he likes enough to go on the field for offense/defense/ST.

Lol! Sad, but funny

Any news on Scott? I'd love to see him aboard

I've been waiting for this to happen but the FO or coaching staff must be resistant to the idea.

He must be in Harb's Dog House since he had a fumble in the preseason. Other then the fumble Allen was running hard and look hungry to me. We all know Harbs doesn't make mistakes' or he at least won't admit to them! LMAO

* Starts sarcasm. *

Shhh... stop being logical! Whatever is said on these forums is meant to be 100% fact! And, unfortunately, without Ray Lewis, any more, the Ravens don't stand a chance. This was #52's team; period! :P

* Ends sarcasm. *

But, seriously, the word "doghouse" is just tossed around whenever it appears a player is not being used by Harbaugh. Like you said, it's a terrible assumption. For example, Ed Dickson was only in a "doghouse", so-to-speak, because of his lack of performance on the field.

The only logical explanation for Anthony Allen was what happened in that Rams, preseason game, when A.A. could of locked-up a roster spot. But, that has nothing to do with a "doghouse". It was just choosing the best 53 players for the team, at the time, and, obviously, the coach thought someone else was better deserving of a spot rather than Allen.

McKinnie I felt was in doghouse because of the weight issue. Other than that, the only OBVIOUS one was Barnes.

It sure beats McFatso not being able to pass the plate without picking something up and shoving it in his mouth.  Pass the Prime Rib?  Never!!!

Beanie Wells is past his prime and won't make it though the rest of the season if he is signed. Bernard Scott had a few good years with the Jets and knows how to run. Can he come in and play every other play? I don't think so. Best option: Ant!

Bernard Scott played for the Jets huh?

Wow Beanie Wells, torn his Achilles Tendon in his Ravens try-out. Since he wasn't under contract , do the ravens have any obligation to him? I would imagine at least paying for the surgery?

I'm sure we or the NFL pay for it. There's got to be some sort of insurance for an active (non-retired) player getting hurt during football activities.

Who did we cut to make room?

For Scott?  No one.  We had an open spot from the McKinnie trade.
