There is a lot of turmoil on the threads right now and yes I am one who is venting and letting off steam. But let me say this..I am not abandoning this team. I don't think we stand a chance this year but I hope that I am proven wrong. Ravens have a very passionate fanbase. Maybe we are spoiled and whine. But what team's fans aren't? Especially if they don't love their favorite team? Let's see where we are in a few weeks before throwing in the towel. Again championships aren't won in Sept or Oct. We proved that last year.

exactly. ithink in many ways accepting certain things is a healthy approach. i see the positives in sucking for a while. people forget how we became a great team back in the 90s we had top 10 draft picks galore.that created the foundation. we dont have a foundation at the moment.

We're banged up man.  It doesn't matter how good your draft prospects are if you're this banged up.  Keep in mind we've played almost a full season of post season games the last 5 years (13 post season games).

If we beat the bungles twice and go 7 and 2 for the remainder of the season I think the division is ours.

Like a lot of fans, I am a Ravens fan win or loose. That being said, it is hard to watch us loose these close games several weeks in a row. My frustration is that I know our guys have the potential to be great. As Harbs has said there are a lot of pieces that are not functioning to full strength. These boards are a great place to vent with other Raven fans that love this team. I live in Colorado and am ask all the time "Why aren't you a Broncos Fan?"  There is no way I will desert the Ravens. I would love to see us make it to the playoffs and will be disappointed if we do not get there. But I bleed purple and black. Go Ravens!!

I live in VA and I get Why aren't you a Skins fan or a Steelers fan like everyone else? I say the same thing. I don't want to be like everyone else. And if I am living in SKins or Steelers Country I am moving! But seriously I am frustrated too along with every other fan but it comes with the passion. I watched my college football team blow a 22 point lead and I still wore my hat and shirt out that day. It happens.

EXACTLY!!

Here in Chesapeake/Virginia Beach area, it is loaded with Redskins and Steelers fans and yet; the Ravens are my boys!  venting and showing our frustration as fans as to how "our" team is playing doesn't mean that we are "abandoning" the team!  smh!  imo, it simply means that we are use to winning!  we have a history and tradition of winning and making the playoffs and as a result of that; settling for mediocre gameplay is not something that I want to get use to or settle for.  absolutely not!  this team is better than that!  Our RAVENS....are better than that!  so, yes!  I will come in here and praise them for a job well done and then smoke their asses for piss poor gameplay.  equal opportunity!  lol!  Go Ravens!  Beat the browns!

It's clear right now, that we are in a rebuilding year. Too many new pieces on the team, not enough depth to make up for injuries and a totally new team dynamic.

I think alot of people went into this season assuming we could make it to the playoffs easily, not even preparing themselves that this team might end up playing average this year.

I'm not really worried. We added some nice pieces in the draft and FA (I LOVE Marlon). I still believe in our guys and Harbs coaching and I'm looking forward to us reloading next offseason, but I definitely will take a vacation from this forum and the ugly panic, that will go around here. I love you guys, when we're winning, but I just can't stand some people around here, when we're losing (It's lke some guys created accounts just to hate on our players and coaches). Sry. Cya until the next draft. ;)

I will absolutely watch every Ravens game, though. Loyal till the end!!! *shakes fist at the sky*

I'm fine with sucking and missing the playoffs as long as we get a higher draft pick... so c'mon Harbaugh and co., please don't change anything.

Cool.

Doesn't make it less hard to watch, or make anyone MORE of a fan by doing so,. I appreciate your resolve (and stomach) for watching the games though. Not that I can't keep away, it's hard not to watch. but man I do not blame anyone for quitting right now. (There is no 'Valhalla' or 'Elysian Fields' in the sports fandom world - as much as some would argue against. Just real life time and real life money that is wasted).

No play on the team has given us any indication that it will be better.

It didn't have to be a rebuilding year, but they made it that way by blowing up the offensive scheme.

No, I'm in this to the bitter end.  Though the Ravens might easily go 5-12, I'll be there agonizing over all of it.

I agree for once we can get decent oline players . By next year biscotti will not tolerate this new blocking scheme cause he is not going to be willing to tank another year.  Now I finally agree with fans put tyrod in so joe doesn't get hurt we have no chance of winning anymore games this year anyway . it will be hard to watch but I will still watch . the young players will have lots of practice to be better players next year. disappointed yes  but still a ravens fan

I think most are, but that doesn't mean we can't be livid at the team like I am now

This.

Also I get sick of people saying "go home" or "don't come back" to other posters. There's no rule book or measure that makes you a "better fan".

People are perfectly in their right to act after the way this team has showed.

I agree that I have not given up on the team this year.  We had so much turnover of players this year and we just need to adjust and gel.  My biggest issue is with Castillo changing the scheme this year.  Why?  Our Oline wasn't broke, so why fix it?

ill take sucking one year if we can bolster up the O-Line, and its not like this is a foreshadowing of many bad years to come, the peices are there, we just have to many young and new players to be a top team this year, but give us a year or two and we'll be right back at the top again

I think we'll be back strong next year. We have too much young talent to suck for long. They just aren't quite working together as a group yet. I blame it on the new CBA. With reduced off-season and limited practices, it takes longer for them to develop.

I disagree.

I've been here since the beginning and I have sat through some bad seasons. Seasons where it was that one win against a hated rival or being the spoiler for a team I despised that made the season even bearable. Before that I sat through some tough seasons with the Colts.

You don't abandon your team when they are down. That's not a true fan, sorry. You find the light that makes the season work for you.

Let's be clear too, our season is not done with this loss. Cincy has some tough games ahead plus we get 2 shots at them. The Browns are definitely going to lose some more games. Chargers lost today another wildcard hopeful. We hold the tie breaker with Miami. We get a shot at the Jets.

smh I don't know how anyone thinks you're a fan if you just turn your team off when they are in trouble.
