When Does Dennis Pitta Return?

11 posts in this topic

Hope I didn't get anyone's hopes up with the topic title, but is anyone aware of the time table for Pitta? If he is even going to be back at all? I heard Nov. 24 is likely the time to shoot for but I'm not sure, obviously not a lot of updates on him because of his IR status but if anyone knows it would be appreciated, I like the play of our WR corp so far but I'd feel A LOT better on 3rd downs knowing #88 would be out there, anyone know when?

I'd honestly let him sit the rest of the season unless the team pulls it together and looks to be a force in the playoffs. No use risking re-injury otherwise. We can't afford for Pitta to be Gronk 2.0.

As long as Pitta doesn't party as much as Gronk does, I think we'll be ok.

Can someone please change the name of this thread to possibly "Information on the Return of Pitta?" instead of what it is currently. This thread is gonna ruin a lot of people's hopes...

I'd rather Pitta break his arm then his hips.   You have to move those butt every snap.

We need him back.
Then we need one more dynamic(not a possession WR) weapon in the draft.

I think a possession/tall receiver is exactly what we need. If Marlon Brown can become that guy, then great, but Flacco needs a security blanket, perhaps a sure handed TE (even with Pitta, we could use a traditional blocker TE with hands to boot).

I just feel like every time Flacco throws the ball theres only a 25% chance of it getting caught even if its perfect unless he's throwing to Torrey. Everyone else has to stop eating popcorn before the game.

Nah. I'm confident in Brown. He can play the slot and is a red zone monster.

A Watkins or Lee is at the top of my list. If you want to keep a D REALLY honest

Well I figured there might be a bit of disappointment involved

My bad  :P Regardless, I am going to be extremely happy when he is  back. Dallas Clark is producing but just isn't enough. Him and Pitta as double tight end set receivers though? That would delight me. We'll need it with some of the offenses we'll be facing late in the season.
