[News] Clutch Joe Flacco Nearly Strikes Again

40 posts in this topic

Joe should of been leading the Ravens down the field the WHOLE GAME! Too much like rite? His throw to Jacoby would of been on time if he was use to throwing and not handing off! If I paid a Man 100 million bucks, you better believe he will be throwing that Rock like the QBs I see on the sports Channels! They are getting "W"s and we run up the middle and start Snivelling and pointing fingers when its the play calling making EVERYBODY look BAD! The DEFENSE is doing its job as usual and now people want to knock them now! PLEASE!

Pretty sure Clutch would count when you are putting up 50 points a game and still behind..When your clutch TD is the only TD in the whole game not sure there is anything good to talk about!

On the bench waiting for the defense to get a stop

You must've not seen the multiple drives that stalled because we couldn't pick up a first down, and had to punt. Or drives that stalled and we had to settle for three FGs. That was "Clutch Joe" in the first three quarters of football. That has been "Clutch Joe" for the first half or first three quarters of football the last several games. We haven't scored a TD in the first quarter of a game since Week 1, and lately haven't scored a single TD in the first half of games at all. And yes, you can blame the O-line, and yes, you can blame "new" receivers, and yes, you can blame bad play-calling.

But at the end of the day, Joe Flacco is a Super Bowl MVP, $120 million dollar paid NFL QB. He is expected to play at a certain level, consistently, regardless of what problems the offense is having. He has been over and under-throwing people all season long, including yesterday. As much as receivers have been dropping passes, he has also been missing them, or not even throwing to wide-open targets on several occasions, all season long. Just as he has every single season since he was drafted. He certainly played well last off-season, and that will not be forgotten. But the fact of the matter is, he has not consistently been "Clutch" in the regular season, ever. He is always very up and down, and this year is a slump year just as much for him as for the rest of the offense. A great QB shouldn't need a great run game to help him out. It should be the other way around, he should be good enough to get something going so it opens up the run. Or for that matter, look at Rogers, Brees, Manning or Brady in the past, who have succeeded in spite of not having a strong run game.

Yes, the O-line sucks. But Pittsburgh's O-line has sucked for years, and yet somehow they made the Super Bowl in 2010. Just saying, despite the line, despite drops, despite no run game, despite poor play-calling..........this is supposed to be "Joe's Team" now. He's suppose to be "The Man" in Baltimore now. He is supposed to be calling audibles when he sees the defense stacking the box when we're obviously going to try and run on 3rd-and-1. Instead of getting stuffed, why not make the QB decision to throw a screen or quick slant instead of going with the play that was called, to run up the middle for no gain and have to punt? Or he could always try not missing Jacoby Jones when he's wide open in the end zone. Stuff like that.

Just saying. Joe was not "clutch" yesterday until it was already just about too late.

Ravens punter surely is not helping this team.

I'm pretty sure you mean the Ravens punter is getting VERY poor blocking and is almost getting blocked himself on punts too often. A kicker can not help it if the line in front of him can't hold.

Somebody tell him almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.

Somebody needs to tell you how to tell the difference between "Joe Flacco said" and "the author of this article said"
