no its not. it means we would be4 and 6 with a tough schedule where we would realisticaly lose a few more while cinci have a pretty easy one and would only need 3 to 4 more wins to clinch. also the afc wild cards would not include a team from our division.
tank and fialy get a superstar.

I was talking about the Matt Elam "debacle"

whats your issue with that. he has not been impressive. take away the first round draft status and you wouldnt want him on the team. hes done nothing but pick up a fumble that fell right to him thanks to daryl smith. his given up a number of big plays that cost us. hes had 1 pass breakup nd has been targeted tonnes of times. hes basicaly a TE dream.

Oh well, so much for giving you the benefit of the doubt...not even going to waste time on this.

I'm not a huge fan of Elam.

I didn't particularly like him as a prospect and I wasn't thrilled when we drafted him. I've also been critical of his play at times, but he's not the problem you are making him out to be either. The problem is we are playing two strong safeties. That's not really Elam's fault he is being asked to play a position he isn't really suited for.

He wouldn't be able to play until next game right? It was an 8 game suspension.

You are correct.

I got that mixed up with PuP. Pup is in weeks, suspensions are in games. got it.

guys...if we lose 2 of the next 3 games we are done. we then tank and finaly get to experience a top 10 pick to make up for the debacle that is matt elam.

Lol ya, the 6 game "debacle".  Then we'll use a top 10 pick on another safety.  Brilliant.

4-4 after the end of next week... but its the road ahead that matters.  Bengals, Bears, Lions, Patriots, Steelers... we won't be lucky and get a wildcard bid unless the team steps up.

I have little confidence in this team as it stands outside of Torrey, Suggs,  Joe and Daryl.

Ravens should be underdogs in Cleveland. The Browns looked physical today.

the Ravens are always the underdogs regardless of who they play.  imo, that is based upon the Ravens inept offense and their inability to run the football and to score TD's in the first 3 quarters of games.

We need to come out of the bye and smash Cleveland, time to turn this thing around and set the tone for the 2nd half of the season boys. I think the bye helped the OL more then any other unit. More time for Monroe to settle in and KO to rest his back. Offense needs to pick up the pace and stop the slow over thought playcalling.

And what is it with these crappy first quarters? I saw the wild cat formation that the Steelers implemented and I thought to myself "we have nothing like that." Here is our incredibly dull offensive playbook:

Handoff to Rice or Pierce for 3 yards maximum.

Occasional pass across the middle to Clark..

Incomplete pass to Torrey Smith.

Handoff to Rice or Pierce for 3 yards maximum.

Flacco sacked.

Ed Dickson drops a pass.

Torrey Smith makes a 15 yard catch.

Occasional pass to another WR. Doss, Brown, etc.

Turnover.

Handoff to Rice or Pierce for 3 yards maximum.

Flacco sacked.

Occasional pass to another WR. Doss, Brown, etc.

Handoff to Rice or Pierce for 3 yards maximum

Would anybody like to dispute that this is the way our offensive possessions work? There is nothing creative.

Even Flacco as looked off at times. He hasn't played too poorly outside of the Denver and Buffalo games, but is accuracy is not as good as a $120 million quarterback's should be.

When ASA returns who do we cut to make room for him?

I would let go of Huff.

Considering his 'situation' he is playing out of his mind. The fact that he isn't throwing 4 picks like 'Matty "Top 5 QB" Ice'( who has a better line)  and is up there is passing yards is amazing.

We're going to win this game. Then we win the bengals --suddenly were back to being in the playoff contention.

Good news:  if Davone Bess is on the field you can play 11 on 10 with no need to cover him since it's a guarentee he'll drop all the passes thrown his way.  Yes I am still irritated about that idiot's lack of football skills this season (ESPECIALLY last game) and wish they would just demote him immediately but that isn't going to happen it seems.

As far as the game honestly as inconsistent as your Ravens have played they realistically should be the favorites to win this game.  It just depends on what Cleveland defense shows up; the one that played outstanding in the first five games and the 2nd half of last week or the one that played against Detroit and Green Bay that couldn't stop a peewee football team?

It would also be nice to see Cleveland's offense at least look halfway decent for a FULL game.  They have yet to play one game this season where for all four quarters they looked respectable.  They don't have to score every single drive but in all of their games this year they've had a section of at least a quarter (if not longer) where they can't even get a first down.  Even their wins were like that where they would go a full quarter and get 8 yards or 15 yards or whatever.  I'd be happy with two-three first downs and a punt at this rate for some drives during the game.

If you guys ever get a decent qb your going to be tough to beat . I read your post I burst out laughing Bess is a hot mess .

In all fairness to Bess he had an awful game and all players have been there and had it happen.  What I hate about this situation and a lot of others is at some point there HAS to be accountability.  You drop three passes and fumble a punt when you weren't even touched and you are STILL a starting WR?  That is just unacceptable.  You have to evaluate the magnitude of the situation and I'm sorry but in this case the significance of his mistakes really hurt the team's chances to win.  I think he has to be benched a half or not start or something.

We can't go in overlooking this game , if not for mistakes and drops  the browns would have beat the Chiefs yesterday .the browns are a couple players away from being contenders, a good qb and  a couple playmakers who knows. In the thread "who would you take from the browns",most posters could not pick just one or two that's how much talent is there .
