Right... and if that onside kick would have worked and we would have won, we all be praising Harbaugh right now.

Oh and also fire the OL coach. Bring in the OL Coach on the college team that keeps producing major NFL O-line players.

It was a dumb call and it marred his reputation.

You don't make that call if you have a powerful team, so it also reflects his true estimation of this Raven squad.

But lets not forget going for it on 4th down last week vs the Packers when the offense had clearly demonstrated it can't dominant the line of scrimmage.

Its desperation

I don't even wanna hear about the onside kick. Maybe guys shouldn't be offsides. Maybe Tucker could have actually ya know, kicked it.

I know, right. If Tucker gets off a better kick and we get it, nobody would give Harbaugh credit for having balls to call a game changing play

Ngata got his contract, Rice got his contract, Harbaugh got his contract , Mckinnie got is contract.

I see a pattern.

Joe is the one everyone talls about, but funny enough he's the only one who isn't complacent.

Couldn't stop the run or pass when needed.  Though we had long drives, many didn't result in POINTS.  Real clutch performance by the defense though.  Something that will be interesting is if Asa steals Grahams job, which to me, he hasn't really earned this year.  How did he get so bad, so fast?

We reward people who performed well for us?

IT was a good move last week too.

Didn't that game end up a 2 point defeat? Oh okay.... Again.... Bonehead move. There's a difference between being aggressive and making dumb decisions.

Forgot Asa is back next week. I also want to see him take Graham's spot.

Can someone please explain why Tucker didn't kick a touchback on that last kick? He kicks for touchbacks all the time, and we even had a 5 yard penalty to help us out on that last kick for us and he didn't get a touchback on that kick.....

exactly. It was a gutsy call that went the wrong way. It doesn't make it a bad call, and it certainly wasnt the reason we lost.

Ok. Captain Hindsight. There is a difference, but in this case it was aggressive and the right decision.

Asa's still out until after the Browns game.  8 game suspension, not 8 week suspension.

dude they had 13 points... thats not "bad" defense by any means. sure we were getting run on, but still made a third down stop after the onside. too bad it wasnt a third down stop 50 yards further back. thats where the onside killed us. they were going to run it, and if you cant force a punt eventually when a team is running, you shouldnt win.

this is the ravens. not the jags. have a sack, kick the ball off, make a stop, and let your SB QB go win the game instead of tying it.

I don't care what the points were. The defense was bad. Stats aren't everything and they don't tell the entire story. I don't have the numbers but I'm sure we were dominated in terms of TOP. That's how this defense sucked.

I liked going for it on 4th and 1 this week just like I told you during the week.

I will restrain from commenting on the onside kick BECAUSE it was so poorly executed that I wondered if that's how poorly they did it in practice. And as for the offsides - wasn't Jeromy Miles supposed to be a stud on ST?

The fact that we are as close in these games as we are is thanks to coaching... I'm really getting fed up with this non sense on these boards. Our offense is not stacked, our defense is not stacked, we have a few good players and a bunch of role players. Our coaching staff has been working their tails off trying to put these guys in positions where they can shine the most. Our players have been grinding to their best of their abilities but we aren't stacked guys. Who outside of Baltimore respects Ihedigbo? or Gino? Graham mabye? We can still make things happen by leaning on our play makers but we are not going to be steam rolling teams this year, get used to it.

Try and get to the playoffs and anything is possible

Tried to pin them in the corner, but Sanders was able to leak out.

We were 20th against the run, (improving as the year went on), and 17th overall.

The only thing that slowed down Pittsburgh run today was when they decided to pass. It's possible Bell got tired, but our defense is not as was hyped and its not sufficiently disciplined. Too many costly penalties.

If we are starting afresh and its pretty clear we are. It's time to bring in new Office personnel as well. They made some good decisions in their decade to 15 years, but its not working that way now. We should have won 3 Superbowls with the team they officially disbanded in the offseason and the new team is a ways away.

All of the offseason moves have proved to be good in hindsight including boldin. Guys just are not performing as expected.

the ravens coaching staff should be fired, very poor coaching bad clock management no offence just like cam cameron always making excuses the ravens have a really bad defensive and offensive coordinator, also why did they not blitz at all and let ben stand back and pick a pitiful pass defence apart why do thay continue to run on 2nd and long strait up the middle and not use speed on the edges also why did so called coach trade the best receiver on the team to his brother after bolden clearly dominated the super bowl and not have any one to replace him i think the ravens are a great team with talent and bad coaching, why throw for 2 yards it is stuiped..........

Clearly a coaches call, I'm guessing they wanted to try to get them down around the 10. That missed tackle Graham had at the end was pathetic. Stuff like that really makes me mad bleeping idiot.

As of the last 2 weeks John Harbaugh has had some stupid overly aggressive calls that weigh into us losing. I mean seriously when he got a new contract was there was some kind of clause that gives him extra money for blowing games? The dline got blown off the ball all game, the run game is still for the most part nonexistent and even then we still could have and should have won this game.

Our offense finally has a respectable performance and what do you know, the d plays like garbage. Way too many open wr's and "no running game steelers" just ran all over us. I can count on the ravens for the o and d to both show up at the same time...not. I don't give a crap about this bend not break defense of pees. Thats 2 weeks in a row the D has fallen off in clutch time. Too easy.

do people even watch football??? Our D has only given up 19 points in both the last 2games so why cant this Offence score more then that a game???

They couldn't even force the Steelers to punt more than once.

You could say the same thing about a "no punt" offense. Not only was it a high risk play, there wasn't much need for it. There was a whole quarter left.

We needed to get the ball back and we rolled the dice. Yes, it's high risk, but it's a brilliant call when it works and a stupid call when it doesn't. No guts, no glory.

To paraphrase the late great Bill Parcells...."Your record says what you are"...or...."Your record reveals the soundness of your offseason moves....especially when your team is coming off a championship"

Well, Bill Parcells isn't exactly late.

i have no problem with the onside kick call. if we had gotten it, everyone would think harbs was some sort of genius. whatever it didnt work. i think the real problem was our inability to stop the run. man did they kill us up front. and that is supposed to be our strength and their weakness! if you can gain 7 or 8 yards on every run, it is really hard to lose. like most of the games this year i think flacco played really well again. haters gonna hate, but this guy is running for his life, getting hit real hard and still making plays. all his critics are from people who dont watch the game.

LOL So what if it was 19 points? The whole reason they only scored 19 was because Pittsburgh had Long, time consuming Drives that started back deep in their own territory. 19 points is a blind number that means nothing. They were PATHETIC.

I like how Chris Berman mentions we can't pick up a yard on the ground and dilfer follows him by mentioning boldin and pitta. facepalm.
