Our offense finally has a respectable performance and what do you know, the d plays like garbage. Way too many open wr's and "no running game steelers" just ran all over us. I can count on the ravens for the o and d to both show up at the same time...not. I don't give a crap about this bend not break defense of pees. Thats 2 weeks in a row the D has fallen off in clutch time. Too easy.

Well we have always wondered what top player we would take in the top half of the draft, looks like we will get our wish.

The only thing I know is we need to win against CLE and CIN coming off the bye. Like I said, if we can win the division we are in the playoffs.

Yeah, we're we do for a down year.  It's a shame, we're going to lose some talent over the offseason.

What I've noticed, so far, this year: During the first 3 quarters, its the defense that "keeps" the Ravens in these games, while Baltimore's offense can't get much going (or, at best, they're limited to just field goals).

Then, in the 4th quarter, when someone realizes it might be a good time to score some points, Joe Flacco is allowed to lead the offense and guess what? The team finally scores touchdowns. But, on the contrary, whenever the defense needs to step-up and get a stop in the 4th quarter, the opposing offense is able to get these long, time-killing against a tired-and-worn-out Baltimore defense.

That on side kick was unforgivable.  And it seriously changes the way I see Harbaugh.  That's embarrassing.

Unless it had worked.

That's a clear coach's call in my opinion. Tucker is hitting that in the stands without a doubt from the 40. The coaches wanted to run time off the clock and force OT.

This is exactly how I see it.

Its pretty clear a point came in this game where the Coaches acknowledged that the Writing is on the Wall.

To go for that Onside Kick in that position only down 4 points was a clear vote of no confidence in our "retooled" defense.

It's said, "we know the changes we made have not turned out and we need to trick our way to this victory".

Granted it was bound to be a tough game, even though the Steelers are not a very good team this year, but we've just got too many holes and our our Front Office made them Bigger this past off season and it's Time for a Change there.

Blame harbaugh. That was a genius onside kick call.

Right... and if that onside kick would have worked and we would have won, we all be praising Harbaugh right now.

Oh and also fire the OL coach. Bring in the OL Coach on the college team that keeps producing major NFL O-line players.

You could say the same thing about a "no punt" offense. Not only was it a high risk play, there wasn't much need for it. There was a whole quarter left.

onside kick-in-the-balls is what that decision was.

also, the run game hasnt gotten anything going a single moment the entire season so i think its time to go the aaron rodgers route and ride flacco all the way out

No it's not.  We were what.  27th in run defense last year?  They really turned the D around.  the problem was the onside kick gave them 3.

Cincinnati is 5-2

Beating them out will take a stroke of bad luck on their part.

I don't even wanna hear about the onside kick. Maybe guys shouldn't be offsides. Maybe Tucker could have actually ya know, kicked it.

LOL are you serious bro? The decision to attempt an onside kick early in the 4th while only being down a possession is just ridiculous. Sure, it works about 5% of the time, but you can't give away field position like that. Bonehead move.

well then if your pin pointing one single play, that's the one that cost us the game.

Unexpected onsides kicks are a gamble, but a great call normally. It works quite frequently and it was a good spot for it.

I heard Vinny on 1057 explain why the onside kick made sense and his explanation makes sense. I even agree with the call now. The defense was playing bad. They wanted them to score quick.

If Pittsburgh loses to Oakland, and the Jets beat the Bengals next week, that will prove nobody wants to win this division.

It was an attempt at a surprise, so doing it in situations where armchair QBs think it's warranted is kind of what they were trying to avoid.  Too bad our PLAYERS couldn't even pull that off without committing penalties.  Shaddap, 'bro,'.

you mean the great spot that gave them an automatic FG and a 7 point lead which then puts them in complete control even if we do score? yea, great spot. because it played out about as bad as it could have minus allowing a TD instead of FG

The onside kick is the play that's the biggest question.  I'm not totally against the decision, but I think it was very poorly executed.  Tucker didn't do the greatest job kicking it.  A lot of the guys on the coverage unit didn't make it seem like an ordinary kick off - they kind of let on that it was going to be a trick play.  And lastly, the Steelers ST looked ready for it.  They looked like they knew it was coming.

We can still win the division because we haven't even played them yet. We could lose to them or beat them twice.

Burning that early TO also burned us. That was inexcusable.

We waste a timeout and get a penalty for delay of game. It was just embarrassing

I can understand the argument, but I'd think the chances of a recovery are less than the chances of a stop.

The Steelers only punted once, on their first drive of the game. The failed onside kick wouldn't have made a difference. Steelers drove at will.

Have you seen the rest of their schedule?  If they're lucky and continue to find ways to win, they may go 5-4.. that's if they don't slip up against us, the Browns, Steelers or Vikings.  To think they can beat the Jets, Dolphins, Chargers or Colts isn't completely out of the realm of possiblity but they aren't really blowing people out of the water either.
