John Harbaugh.

:P

I think he should be but he won't . for him to allow his friend to totally destroy the offense and to reduce probowl players to below average players . he certainly would deserve it. he should have stopped the nonsense when we had lost three games now it is too late.

I believe they've already interview Lovie Smith, but the Texans have also agreed to interview Penn State HC and former Pats OC Bill O'Brien.

Unfortunately for the Ravens it seems they're in another "Cam trap".  Cam got to hang around so long because the wins piled up in spite of him, and we were in the playoffs all the time.  Only last year's near train wreck woke up those above him.  It seems that their way of thinking is that if we actually make the playoffs, they'll reward this staff by keeping them on.  For the long term good of the team, however, the bitter pill of no playoffs this year may actually be a cure.

Reports are that Bill O'Brien is the Texans top choice and they're trying to get a deal done, but the Texans owner says they're interviewing more guys next week and one of O'Brien's incoming recruiting class says he is returning to Penn State.

It's a shame he is willing to jump at the first chance to go to the NFL after what he has done for Penn State. It's no wonder why he re-negotiated his buyout on his contract, so it would be easy for him to jump to the NFL.

Also the Jets are likely to announce the return of Rex Ryan tomorrow according to Schefter. So it seems with the players fighting for Rex helped saved his job.

This really doesn't surprise me.  The Jets have overachieved by at least 4 wins this season.  Rex Ryan seems to have his defense on the right track, although I think he'll still eventually be fired because I don't believe in Geno Smith.

[twitter]JasonLaCanfora[/twitter] "Whisenhunt will be well positioned for several jobs, regardless, but Texans high on him and I've hear he is eager to meet with them"

That could be a good second chance for Whisenhunt.  He'd finally have a QB he'd want, assuming he wants Bridgewater.  His problem in Arizona was finding one.

So after the last games of the regular season, who does everyone say is unemployed tomorrow?

I've got Shanny, Allen, Schiano and Schwartz on my list as almost definite.

Shanahan and Schwartz are definitely getting fired.  Schiano's team showed improvement over the second half of the season, but I'd say he's still likely because of the drama surrounding the early part of the season and his reportedly unprofessional behavior.  Allen I'm 50/50 on, the Raiders have a ton of flexibility and could reload this off-season so maybe he gets another shot.  We know Rex is safe now.  The Cowboys might be better off keeping Garrett regardless of a win or loss tonight since few other people would handle Jerry Jones' nonsense so well, so I'm 50/50 on him still.  I still think Mike Smith is going to be the surprise firing.

On the OC front, reports are Mike Sherman is getting fired in Miami.

I actually agree on Mike Smith. They may just say it's a fluke season, but going from where they were last year to this year...?

NFL Network just announced that Washington fired EVERYONE on the coaching staff.

Synder is a terrible owner, Shanahan(s) weren't far above that as coaches

Hmmm, I can't find another confirmation of the rest of his staff being fired (or not retained) besides the NFL network, but they're having a press conference starting between 12 and 12:30 today so we may hear more info then.

Went digging since now that you mentioned it, it does seem weird. SI is reporting the whole coaching staff is gone, but we'll see what they say in the press conference.

Doesn't surprise me at all with Snyder around... if only they could fire their owner...

Washington Post is reporting it, too.

It isn't that unusual since the HC selects the rest of the staff. That doesn't mean some won't be back.

Good point, though I remember when we fired Billick that there wasn't quite the speculation that all of the other Ravens coaches were gone as well, but maybe I missed something.

Reading the WP article, I really hope that the Baylor coach isn't foolish enough to take the job.  Danny-boy will probably expect him to produce a 16-0 season and RGIII in the pro-bowl (which he won't go because they'll be in the Super Bowl) or else be fired the following year.

Detroit Lions staff has gotten "no word yet." There's a team meeting scheduled for noon eastern time per one of the dudes on NFL Network.

Sadly, NFLN is must watch TV today. They're going to be live all day with breaking news.

No kidding!  The Breaking News has started up again:

Tampa Bay has just fired HC Greg Schiano and GM Mark Dominik
