Same song..... Ya know the rest

Offense

1. We are a second half time.

We knew this, but we played down to this defense until the 4th quarter. Why? Well, we play well IF we have to. We seem to have the play down to opponents to extreme this year.

2. With that said. Flacco can preform under this

Clutch. It's been that way for awhile. And if the D stopped them, I'm sure that Flacco would've led us downfield.

3. Yep.... The Running Game is beyond broken.

It can still be fixed but good god. It seems KO is in a sophomore slump and Gino is having growing pains.

4. Our Corps of Weapons is NOT the Problem

Now that we are healthy again(cept Pitta) when the offense did come together, we looked good in the passing game.

5. Eugene Monroe

Looked better than Mckinnie last week cept for that one play. He seemed to have some growing pains but is a HUGE upgrade.

6. Billy Bajema

Will probably be cut again, only to be resigned.

Just saying. :P

7. The Oline is beyond bad.

We had a bad day. The entire interior Oline just looked horrible today. Yanda is clearly playing hurt.

DEFENSE

1. We rely on them too much.

It's true, we are a defensive team since Flacco and the gang cannot get any protection whatsoever. We need to stop leaning on them and CONVERTING.

2. But Our D is really good

We held Rodgers to 19 points......

Nuff said.

3. Jimmy Smith again...

BALLIN. With the INT, good coverage all day.

He actually might be our best CB

4. The Run D got Cocky.

They DID NOT play great today. But bend and don't break. They still only put up 19.

5. Josh Bynes

Is part of the Problem.... He's not that good.

We need to play Brown more. Or maybe Upshaw. He's good vs the run

6.Ngata Looks Beat up.

We need to give the guy more rest. He just looks beat up. He's still an important piece of the D, he anchors the line. Without him in the SB the entire Dline looks bad. We can't afford to have him get hurt anymore.

I get that he's not the player he used to be(near unstoppable) but he's still damn important.

7. The Pass Rush is just beautiful.

Even with his crappy Oline, Rodgers is a hard man to sack because he uses his legs to get out of the pocket to extend the play.

We scared the living hell out him today sometimes. Doom had 2 forced fumbles........

The scary thing is that this unit is only going to get better.....

Man my boy Webb making me nervous.

I am not saying he played bad cause he didnt.

What I am saying is he let a few more go by than I am used to with him.

Jimmy did have a better day than Webb.

Hurts to say.....

Not that I am anti JImmy, but I am def pro Webb.

It seems like he's still getting his legs back under him.  I'm not too worried about him right now, especially with our safeties struggling in assisting over the top right now.  I do think Jimmy has played better than Webb, though.  I think that's still more of a testament to how Jimmy is playing more so than how Webb is playing.

We got punked on that Nelson TD. Our Pass D is still largely very very good (pass rush + coverage). We're just really soft in the middle though (with that Jermichael huge gain).

Definitely upgraded from last year. But man, they looked deflated in that 4th quarter. Some of those things were because A-Rod, was just class they were just soundly beaten; others the D got lazy.

Jimmy seemed like he had a good game today, although I'd like to see the grades.  That was excellent coverage on the INT, and Nelson didn't score when he was Jimmy's responsibility.

Jimmy is my favorite player and I closely watch him all game. He was targeted frequently, but allowed one reception on a pass at the LOS and botched the tackle. Solid run defense today.

Jimmy is one of my favorite players because I usually go for the most unfairly hated guys. He gets so much hate I feel almost obligated to like him because others unnecessarily and irrationally blame him. He's been playing better than Webb but I think that's because Webb seems to be getting his legs under him. Webb made ridiculous plays on the ball. In that way he's better than Jimmy because Jimmy is really good at eliminating his guy whereas Webb is highly skilled at making a guy appear open but in reality having him shutdown.

I'm going to give Webb a pass. He's had two injuries so perhaps it's causing him to return slower than before.

I feel the same way about Jimmy. Always liked him and felt like he was unfairly criticized a lot, let's call it the sports talk radio syndrome.

Same thing with Doss. Everyone hated him for no real reason, and he has proven to be very valuable both as a PR and WR thus far.

Yep. Both players have been doing very well. Doss has been playing exceptionally well with a huge play today that would have been considered the game deciding play if we won.

I don't know, that Dallas Clark catch made me go nuts

I thought all the guys played really hard. The only thing that I am irritated about is us not getting that one yard. That would have changed the game and we would have won. Our run game HAS got to get fixed!

The pass rush wasn't beautiful, Elvis Dumervil was.  He generated pressure on roughly 20% of the passing plays he was in on yesterday, which is a really high percentage.  2 sacks, 2 hits, and 1 hurry is a really good day.  Art Jones' sack and 4 hurries was another really nice day as well.  Collectively they did a good job of applying pressure, but Suggs had a down game as a pass rusher (he's still an incredibly complete defender) and Ngata had a pretty crappy day overall.

I don't think the Packers' line is particularly gifted, despite what the rankings might say, I think Rodgers' greatness can disguise their weaknesses.  We only got 3 sacks, I think we could have gotten more, or at least recover the ball on one of the strip sacks.  I'm probably downplaying the pressure because of my disappointing with the loss, I just hope next week is a feeding frenzy.

I may be mistaken, but I thought that Bynes played relatively well. Granted that I rarely looked his way, but I do recall the impressive deflection on 3rd down against Jermichael Finley on the first drive. And he flashed on a few solid run stops on Eddie Lacy.
