that's true

but the ravens won one lost one so on and so forth, the steelers lost four in a row had a week off to think about why had a tune up game to get back on track and now should be ready and dedicated to righting this ship.....now is that enough no, but it could produce results.....you will face the best steelers team to take the field this year

Steelers problem they don't get to the Qb, Ravens do. Ravens will be pass happy. Beating the Jets is hardly an accomplished feat.
I see a lot of long balls in this one. Ravens haven't lost two in a row in forever and Steelers haven't won two in a row in forever.

I'm really happy how the defense is performing. Some times they still give up too much yardage in the run game, but they are improving alot. Gotta love that pass rush.

Worst case scenario: We are one solid offensive draft away from being SB contenders. But I think, that this team is talented enough to be in the playoffs already. Let's wait and see. :)

Yea our d is fierce. I think we're good like we are we just need that offense line right and we're in it!! We still got it. Gradkowski is trippin tho lol

I'd imagine center isn't an easy position to grasp. Birk wasn't the most physically intimidating center, but he was very bright and had tons of experience. I hope Gino still can get there this season.

I'm still not sold on our receivers. Torrey is great. He really proved that he is a legit #1 WR, but you need to pair him up with a bigger threat at WR and I'm still not sold on the guys behind him. Having Pitta out there would've helped alot, but he's injured. Oh well, atleast we have seen some nice flashes from the receivers in the 4th quarter against the Pack, maybe one of them will emerge as a consistent playmaker. I still want Ozzie to draft TE and WR next year, but I seem to be alone on this one. Whatever.

Birk graduated from harvard so yea he was a very smart guy that knew how to make adjustment according to the d-fense and make the right reads. And used his smarts to his advantage. I dnt know what the hell gradkowski is doing lol. When in comes to the recievers we have i think we're fine. And we're good enough to be a sb team again we just need to give flacco time to get it to them. Our line is the main prob lol. It wouldnt hurt to have another playmaker or offense tho lol

So Matt Ryan has an all-star cast around him in the passing and running game.  And a decent offensive line to boot.

They are 1-4.

Who's fault is it?

Who knows?  Could be matt ryan, could be defense, could be coaching.   They got more than one problems to deal w/.

All im saying is Flacco is part of the problem.   Im not telling you they should cut Flacco.   I am saying to you that he stinks right now and he isnt living up to his 120m bargain.  He needs to get better as well as players around him.

Would you agree w/ that?

All I'm saying is that constantly putting the QB is disadvantageous situations with a 3rd and long on every single damn drive isn't helping. Seriously, there was someone on Twitter that stated that the Ravens that out of all their 3rd downs the vast majority of them have been 3rd and long. Being able to run the ball, even if it's just for 3 YPC makes all the difference in the world.

Crap shoot. I have zero confidence in the offense. We will need special teams and defensive touchdowns. The offense looks lost out there at times.

the steelers are better than the record shows......if they win this they are right back in this division race

it will be a good game but I have a feeling the ravens are playing the steelers at a bad time.....steelers win this game 24-20

That's funny actually, because I seriously think you are playing us at a bad time.

We took a close, tough loss to GB and our offense actually found it's footing late in the game. We're getting healthy now and I expect that offense to continue the upward trend.

Not to mention we do like to win at the ketchup field for some reason.

I agree with you that the Steelers are a team that is better than their record suggests right now. I just think that the Ravens are a little further turning the corner than the Steelers at the moment.

One thing is certain - regardless of the record, Pittsburgh will play us tough as always. We cannot afford to make mistakes like we did against the Packers. We are going in there as Defending Superbowl Champs and they hate it and will take shots at us. Our mental and physical toughness will be tested there. I expect defensive showdown very similar to the Packers game and hoping for different outcome.

None of that really matters.  The Ravens have the better squad and should win handily.

WR?  I think we're good.  TE? Most definately.  I'd like to see us get one of those huge guys that can catch to complement Pitta when he returns. A good TE would immediately improve the WR corps.

Those would be my preference too, namely a TE (Pitta is a FA after all) and it should be a good TE draft.  As well as an exceptional WR draft.

Last year we had a ton of success with Boldin and Torrey in the line up. Torrey stepped his game up in a major way, but I don't see anyone on the roster, who is even half as good as Q.

Marlon, Jacoby, Doss are all #3 WRs. I'm not saying neither will step up and become great, but for now I do believe there needs to be a more legit threat lined up with Torrey on the field.

If I remember correctly, Boldin's success wasn't really felt until late in the season, maybe even post season. And I don't think we would notice he was gone if Pitta had not gone down, or if someone would have stepped up in Dennis' place. Without a consistent threat at TE it makes it all the more difficult for the WRs. Jacoby's injury hurt progress, as well as Thompson's foot issue. And we all know the O line woes haven't done a lot for the passing game.

It would seem with Torrey, Jacoby, Deonte, Marlon, and maybe even Doss, we are at the least not deficient at WR. My first priority on O would be at TE.

and...the Ravens hadn't lost at home in 11 games BUT they just did on Sunday to the packers.  all of these "the Ravens haven't done this or that stats" mean absolutely nothing to me with how these Ravens are playing offensively!  at this point....let's just hope for a win!

Karma is trading for a tackle before he even takes a snap for you he goes to ir. that's the steelers paying for arrogance

Meanwhile the LT we traded for is better and healthier.

Sizzle is going to eat Mike Adams for lunch. This game, realistically, should not be close at all. Oh and no Wheaton for the Steelers either, out with that broken finger again.

Because stats win games.

Just saw Flacco is 5th in the league in passing yards...Does this mean Hardbaugh likes him now??

LMAO.  Anybody can take quotes and take them out of context...

All I'm going to say about this game is we have to go for the throat. As "unfriendly" as that sounds, I expect nothing less than smash-mouth football on Sunday.

I'm a smash-mouth type of guy as well.  however, the way the Ravens O-line has been playing for 6 weeks now....they'll be the ones getting smashed!  I believe the steelers are "expecting" us the "try" and run the ball!  however, we may need to spread'em out with 4WR sets and catch them off guard.  make them cover all portions of the field.  this should open up those running lanes.  we may need to come out gunning it to take an early lead and then later in the game when it is under our control...pound the rock mercilessly!  lol!  my only concern with our teams passing attack (or the lack thereof) is....will the WRs/TEs make plays and catch the football?  hmm.
