Anyway, this game is huge for us, just as it always is.  We have done well in Pittsburgh in recent years, and I see that continuing.  I don't see them scoring enough to win in the end.  Even if it's 13-10 again, I can live with that.  We'll be in decent position in a tough conference heading into our bye week.

Just no.  You play to win. There are guys playing for their careers, contracts, etc.   That's not how winning organizations roll.

You do know the Giants won a Super Bowl as a 9-7 team, right? We won last year without being the 1 or 2 seed. 3 and 3 is no position to blow the team up with.

Just need a ticket to the dance.   Ravens fans especially should know this.  What short memories we have.  Joe also was stellar in the playoffs when the games were on the line.  We seem to forget this as well.

Its all a matter of getting hot at the right time.  Our offense can't get much worse than it is right now.  This team still has the potential to get going with a new piece on the O-line, weapons getting healthier.  

 

It all comes down to the O-line play.  Which I truly think, can get better.

Exactly.  You don't want to set that example down the road either.  That giving up is okay.  That's a loser mentality.

I really, really want to thrash these guys and the funny thing is, it has nothing to do with the fact that it's the Steelers. Although, beating them bad is always fun. Really, it's because of all the offensive frustration and we're just really due to break out. However, I'm fully expecting this game to be a tough, physical, ugly type of game that it usually is. I will take the win however it may come. Going into the bye week at 4-3 is all I can ask for right now.

But coaching and offensive play-calling needs to DRASTICALLY improve to even get a ticket. They let Joe out of the doghouse down the stretch last year, don't see why they hid him again this year behind a non-existent running game. 

 

Heck, it'd probably be more effective having Joe fall over forward once every three downs than our current rushing "attack".

It does.  Luckily we know Caldwell has it in him because of last year's success.  This isn't the Cam situation where we're screwed no matter what.  

 

I actually wouldn't mind seeing a QB sneak from time to time.  We always tend to lean on the telegraphed run play on short downs.  Why not have Joe pop one unexpectedly.

Depends on our offense.  The Steelers are going to want to run a lot.  If we can stuff the run and put up points on offense.  It'll be raining sacks as they play from behind.

That's if they let Joe play. Likely, Harbs will want to play "Ball control" or "smart" which means, run run, designed check down or draw (run). 

 

I don't get it - we can still play "smart" without sacrificing and the expense of being aggressive. Instead, we're overly conservative most of the time, unless it's too late. And that's poor coaching imo.

Divisional game is always tough, regardless how pathetic they play leading to this.  It's going to be a dog fight....

 

We need to win period, ugly or pretty.....
