Week 6 - Baltimore Ravens vs. Green Bay Packers

So salt..for all the talk about getting Jones back, Marlon back, and a new OL Monroe, we didnt do anything. By the time the offense decided to show up, the D was tired. I dont pin this on them at all. They held Aaron down for 3 good Qs...this is on the O. Specifically the run game, and play decisions.

John "I'm going to get really aggressive for no reason as opposed to tying the game" Harbaugh

That was not the bad decision, the bad decision was RUNNING it on fourth down.

I'm more upset with going for it in our own territory with 20 seconds left.  Nothing good could possibly come from that situation with our offense.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

Coulda gone for three instead of 4th down. More forgivable.

Shoulda kneeled the ball with 12 seconds left.

Woulda (probably) won the game if defense stood strong the way the offense was going in the 4th quarter.

Move on and hope that Bengals lose the Bills in overtime so our loss doesn't matter as much.

Offense is why we are 3-3. Nothing more needs to be said. Flacco, the oline and Rice are a pretty sad bunch!

Yeah. This team is a sad bunch! The Defense has too many break downs in communications. The offense is painful to watch. The runnning game is hands down the worse in the league. The passing game isnt too far behind. The OL is a turnstile with all the Jail Breaks.

Coaching lost the game pretty much with the decision to go for it on 4th down and trying to call a pass play during the end of the 2nd quarter.

What happen to when we didn't give up a 100 yards to RBs.

They have a good O-line and Eddy Lacy did go to Alabama.  But you're right. Our d-line wasn't on it today. Pressure was good in the first half but non existent in the 2nd.

When we went back to power run scheme it started to click...for the love of God put Moeller back in as O-line coordinator and let Castillo goooooooooo!

On the plus side, this new Almost Human show they've been advertising looks interesting.  Love me some Karl Urban.

Agree with the pass play, but man, our o-line couldn't make two yards? I feel like that's on those guys.

You are proud of Flacco but think the defense was the final nail in the coffin.....Did we watch the same game? The DEFENSE was the only good thing we had all day. Flacco, Rice, O-Line and coaching ALL sucked.

Yes because a QB that can convert a 4th and 21 that leads to a TD sucks.

Not against trying to establish the run. To get to the post season we would have to do that. However on 4th down, Harbs had to kick that field goal.

Ray Rice is not 100%. He must be playing with an injury, but he is not the problem. The line is terrible. We can't win with this line. Monroe didn't matter. Its the scheme, the coach, maybe the new center. It's not the backs.

It belongs on the o-line....clearly a message sent to the players. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Can't say I was happy with Caldwell's playcalling today

I agree it's not entirely on Ray. BUt man, he doesn't look explosive at all. Bad o-line or not. I'd be more comfortable with Pierce there -at least he shows flashes of explosion.

But yes, the line, then coaching, and our D on CRITICAL plays, are our biggest problems.

Actually Joe should have gotten 3 TDs if Doss goes limp instead of taking that giant step.

Agreed. I'll be the first to call out Joe when he has a bad game, and be labelled as a "hater" by some kneejerkers for it too (:p :D) but he had a good game today. Our palycalling was the issue o offense. Very janky and uneven,

And of course our run game. Too much is said of our D, but when the O is hot, the D needs to get off the field and give the ball back to them.

Fair is fair and a spade is a spade- and that means Joe had a good game and the D, while good, couldn't make the palys when needed.

Do even know what the phrase "final nail in the coffin" means? It means that at the end of the game when we just needed the defense to make a stop, they couldn't do it, and that this was the final thing that had to go wrong to ensure that we lost this game. These are facts. If the defense could've gotten the offense back on the field rather than let them run 10 minutes off the clock in the fourth quarter, we could have had a chance to win.

And Flacco did not suck in this game. I guess over a 110 in QB rating is a bad game. That when you had numerous dropped passes, sideline catches that our receivers just have no clue how to tiptoe their feet in bounds on, blanketed receivers all day, no time to throw too often on drop backs, and a total failure of a run game... Flacco stood tall in the pocket, got the ball to the receivers when the receivers were open, he rolled out and scrambled and extended plays... He had a very good game, both statistically and according to the analysis eye test. He was 0% of the problem in this game.
