If our defense keeps playing well up front we should be able to pull this one out at home. I'm a little worried about safeties against Rodgers though. Miami exploited them.

Luckily for the Ravens, this one is at the Bank.

Plus, I don't think the Packers are even that strong, this season. Granted, you can't overlook any team; but, I believe the defense will handle A-Rod and his teammates pretty well. And, for the offense, Jacoby Jones, Marlon Brown and Eugene Monroe will all be playing... hopefully.

Yes sir, did you watch the game today? Rice ran well when he had to. Fellow, we had a running game!!!!

thought he was poor myself, tripped himself up a number of times, had a couple chances to beat a man one v one and couldn't.

We have some positives in this game to take to next week.

Suggs is on a mission and packers Oline has struggle some.
Doss had his best game as a WR and continued to do great in punt returns.
Torrey continues to shine, shows each week he can't be covered on crossing patterns.
Dickson didn't drop a pass unless I missed it, if I did don't remind me please.

I think the run game could be much improved next week if we began to switch it up and stop running so much on 1st down. We got more production this week, but I think our per carry average would have been better if we did a few less first down runs because the defense was waiting on it. Some quick screens or slants could also workout.

We had a running game but it wasn't because Ray Rice was running like a boss. He ran OK but he didn't run good or even great. He averaged 2.74 yards a carry. That's not good. The OL just opened up more holes and Leach blocked better. Rice hasn't had a good game in a while. I watched the game.

Not trying to be a jerk here. I just don't think he played "awesome". He played OK.

The point is if he did not rush like he did and in certain situations, I believe we could have lost the game. There was a pass-run balance characteristic of all successful teams in the NFL. Touchdowns are not the only indicator of a running backs' performance; he is not completely healthy, but still played well.

Yup. Our offense still needs to get better as weeks go by. Both run/pass games.

Our D' did a phenomenal job crushing phins line @ 4th quarter. Credit to where credit is due, D got it done today.

Yeah.  That was not a full speed RR out there today. He could have broken several runs for big yardage, his footwork just wasn't there. AND he put the ball on the ground.  RR gets a C from me today. But it was just a warmup for a huge day at The Bank next week!

We should be able to stay on field long as we stay balanced on run/pass.

Only problem with this strategy is if Rodgers puts the Pack up big early on. It's obviously going to be hard to stick with the run if it's only netting you 2.5 yards per carry while Rodgers is racking up the pts.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with him so I'm going to wait and see. He's not looking right so he could still have lingering effects from the injury. We'll see. I just don't think he played very well. I'd rate him as average this game and very close to below average. He had some nice runs and it helped. I just can't say he played awesome or well. That's all.

He had a critical fumble that could have lost us the game. Granted, Joe had a pick 6 but that's not on him. It's not his fault McKinnie let the guy behind him. If it wasn't a pick 6, it would've been a fumble for a TD. That's another argument, though; not one for this thread.

I think Flacco and Rice could have a very nice game against GB.

Hmmm...... The D played well for most of the game, but gave up too many big plays. There's still work to do in the secondary. But wow!  The front seven is getting very good.

The O will definitely get better and did well today with a depleted squad and a porous O line. Scary to think that Dickson showed up. Great game Ed!!!!

We should have a chance if J Smith doesn't get shaked and baked like usual.

Oh good, because he often doesn't get shaked and baked! That's great news!

Yeah, I'm not sure what's up. One thing I have noticed about Rice is his balance is bad at times. That's why he seems to go down without contact. He seems to just lose his balance.

I said balanced run/pass game. Anytime we get pass happy we look like fools.

We need to get to Rodgers a lot to have a chance. Flacco, the oline and the rest of the offense are not going to win this one. If we win, it'll be on the D.

I actually think Flacco and the O have to show up for the Ravens to win. The Pack will get their 25-30 pts even if Rodgers has an off day.

Establishing the run game will be most important, keeping ARod off the field and all. SO many playmakers on their offense though

What I'm saying is, the only reason we were able to maintain balance today was because we were facing a team without an elite QB and offense. So the Ravens could sit there and try to wear down the Miami D with those 2-3 yard runs throughout the entire game. It's going to be hard to commit to the run if you're not moving the chains against a team that can put up points on every other possession, like what happened with Denver.

I think this game can be had.  The Ravens have been a slow-starting team, but they've also played more quality opponents than anyone else in the league.  Houston and Miami are no jokes, Cleveland is better than people give them credit for and Denver is a juggernaut who Baltimore hung with for three quarters.  As for Buffalo, that's just one of those classic Ravens trap games where they play down to the opposition.  It wasn't so long ago that they were dropping games to Seattle and Jacksonville, and the Bills were just more of the same.

I think going into the game...it has to be a balanced run/pass offense. Fastest way to go 3&out is being pass hvy for us. Our QB doesnt have the ability to move to chains being pass happy. I think as long as we stay on field and kill time and win time of possesion, our defense will have time to breath to contain packers offense.

I think your strategy can come in only if we get way behind(like 2possession behind) and our d stinks it up.

Thats jmo.

I think it's because Jimmy doesn't have an interception.  Even webb was getting worked out there.

After watching Ryan Tannehil and Mike Wallace tear up the secondary. The only way we win this game is if Flacco out guns Rodgers.

I think we have a better chance against the Packers defense than the Bengals defense, at this point in the season. I'm not that worried about this game that much at all.
Joe and the receivers need to be firing on all cylinders.
Yeah Watching the Niners play Green Bay , the secondary for Green Bay was horrific. We can win this . To me the critical facet of this game is putting pressure on Rodgers . We do this consistently ,we win .

20+ runs along with defence and we can win this. Old school Ravens football our passing game will have to wait until we are fully healthy... And its not like Joe was bad today but I still think most of us know he can be way better when the WRs get healthy and we our LT of the future going. Ok im done I am drunk and yeah lol

Hopefully we get Jacoby & Marlon back this game. Whatever the case is Torrey needs to get fed again like he did today.

Monroe should be ready, B-Mac played alright today though IMO. We're going to look different on offense next week. Hopefully better.

No. No he didn't.
