20-10 Ravens.

Low scoring, defensive game. Ravens finally get a running game going and we have zero turnovers but force 3.

Bold prediction: Dumervil gets 3.5 sacks.

Gut feeling he has a great game.

I feel like either two things will happen. One, this will be a very intense game and we will win a tough game, or two, we will begin to fall apart and this game will be a disappointment. I want us to win more than anything but if we start to do bad (turnovers, offensive line falls apart, no run game) we will not win.

May as well triple Torrey Smith. Besides maybe Stokley (if he plays), who else has done anything on this offense so far this year?

Marlon Brown would like a word.

I'm actually more nervous about this one than I was about the Bills. I don't think the deep ball will be a huge factor here (though I'd give us the edge if it does mean anything), but we have to stop the run and defend against those short-mid ranged passes. Without knowing if Arthur Brown's playing, our LBs will have to come up big.

I feel like we can stop the run well enough, and start getting to Tannehill. They're good in the red zone, but so are we.

Offensively, it's a slightly different story. Ray Rice should be in better shape than last week, and the line should be playing better, irrespective of whether Monroe starts. If Ray/Bernard can peel off even one or two runs for decent yardage, I think they'll have to start looking at contracting their defenders, which will allow Torrey and Jacoby to stretch the field. I love what they can do with YAC, so I hope the short passing game gets going. Jacoby should be available, considering it was Stokely they cut (or he would have been inactive anyway. But I'd like to take the more positive train of thought.).

Dallas Clark is my dark horse pick to have a big game. From what I've read, they've been looking a bit vulnerable a short way down the field. Ellerbe should be worth picking on in coverage. I'd also like to see if Joe Flacco can go into "FU Mode", similar to Aaron Rodgers after a loss, but I don't think our receivers will give us a big win like that.

If Cameron Wake's playing, tomorrow will be an excellent test for my "One game theory" - that a player's first game back from injury is really disappointing while they blow off old cobwebs and rebuild match fitness. Of course, that means Jacoby might be a bit slow too.

Final word, WalterFootball seems to have caught on to our trends against teams like the Bills or the Jags:

This is a poor spot for the Dolphins. They had their chance to prove themselves in the national spotlight last week, but came up short. Now favored, they'll be flat against an opponent they just saw lose to Buffalo. Also, the Dolphins are heading into their bye, which doesn't bode well for them because small home favorites in conference play have historically struggled against the spread in those situations.

Meanwhile, I love Baltimore in a bounce-back situation. The Ravens were predictably flat last week, as they usually are against inferior competition on the road. But John Harbaugh bounces back from those defeats; he's 8-2 straight up after losing as a favorite. Plus, the Ravens are playing in their second-consecutive road game, which usually carries a high cover rate.

...

They're still my second-favorite side of the week.

I really think last week was just a terrible match from us (as well as a good performance from the Bills), and that we come right this week. Everyone has such a short memory that I haven't seen a single mention of our game against Houston. Flacco's numbers didn't look too flashy then, but he played superbly, and our defence managed to lock down one of the most balanced offences in the league.

We're clearly capable of great performances, and I don't think we take the Dolphins lightly.

With all of the injuries, subtractions, additions, etc., I don't know what to expect from the O today. But I'm gonna guess we get a huge defensive performance from the Good Guys.

I think the D holds the Fins to under 15 today.............now the question is can we get the O going and score 16 without Caldwell calling 37 straight pass plays!

Very important game for us to win, especially if Cincy wins this Sunday. Hate to root for the Pats but I am...
What's everyone's First Offensive Play Prediction? I'm thinking a screen pass to Rice.

First play...... Hmmm rice for a 1 yard gain up the middle followed by a second run for 2 yards followed by a short pass to complete the classic 3 and out. I hope I'm wrong and we can win today in a big way

The birds gotta come out swinging,  can't be trying to run up the middle on the opening series of our first possession.  It got really Cam Cam-ish with the play calling through most of last week's game.  I recall just before going into halftime against the bill's we had roughly a minute on the clock with at least a set of time outs.  The raven's took two knee's I believe then completed a pass to get us roughly in field goal if not scoring range but without enough time to capitalize because of poor clock management.

What do you say fellas? Do you think we pass or run more today? As long as we have a percentage like 55-45 or less pass:run ratio, I think we will be good. I just hope we don't get behind in the first and second quarters like we've been and be forced to pass. That will kill us like it did in Miami and Buffalo. I hope the coaching staff has a good game plan and the offense is able to execute!

Go Ravens and run it down their throats!

Webb can catch, but he doesn't get a lot of balls thrown his way it seems like.

I don't think you know this but Stokely's been cut for Bajema.

I was being sarcastic based on the amount of dropped int's our secondary has already

Only 3 active WRs. Wow. A little nervous, but also excitedto see what they can do. Rice and Pierce wI'll need to have a big day.

See, our passing woes and general offensive malaise has me overlooking even you cleverly disguised sarcasm!

Weird.  I don't like going with only 3 WRs.  I'd call up Gerrard Sheppard just to have another body there just in case.  That's way too little.

Monroe inactive as well, so it'll be BM at LT today.

A little concerned about our receiving corps today, hopefully the running game gets going early.
