If you could take one player from the Dolphins, who would it be?

Cameron Wake and it's not even close. Pouncey is a very good player but Wake is a top 5 pass rusher in the whole NFL, even though this is hypothetical you just don't pass up Elite players. They looked awful without Wake last week, guy is a true impact player. When he's not on the field for Miami there's a very noticeable difference.

Clowney is injured actually, but that's not the point. You would rather have a lesser player at a position of need. I'd take the superior talent every day of the week.

If I were building a team, I would take the younger player who fills a position of need.  If we were talking a Von Miller or Aldon Smith it'd be different.  Wake being aged I'd prefer pouncey.  If they were the same age I'd take wake.

Are we talking just straight up or based on the roster we have now?  If its based on the roster we have now why would you take Wake?  Where's he going to play with Dumervil and Suggs?  May as well take the guy who can help stabilize the interior Oline.

Imagine the creative schemes that could be developed if we had that kind of talent on this defense!!!

No I know, I watched him straight up destroy teams gameplan's in the CFL for the 3 odd years he was up here.  He was the league MVP year one year ala LT.  Wake is no joke and if he doesn't play tomorrow the Oline might actually look decent.

 

Having said that you'd either have to get rid of Dumervil or take Pouncey.  Dumervil, Wake and Suggs on the field at the same time wouldn't do us any good.  None of those guys can pass rush inside on Gs. Just as is, they're outside guys who work in space.

I think I would get rid of Dumervil if it came to that. Wake is a massive upgrade, but I tend to think a creative DC like Pees would salivate at the opportunity yo have all 3 on the field. I think I would move to more 4-3 and stand Suggs up a lot. He's a good pass ruhser off the edge but I could see him being a devastating blitzer too. He is athletic enough to play the SAM ala Von Miller.

Blows my mind that Wake is not a household name. As a pure pass rusher, he might be the best in the league.

Way too earlier for that kind of declaration. Jordan has a long way to fulfill his immense potential. Wake has been an All-Pro pass rusher two of the past three seasons.

I'd say Wake but our pass rush is pretty good. Another I'd say is their center cause the Ravens is not playing good(like the rest of the O-line)
