If you could take one player from the Dolphins, who would it be?

Pouncey cause of need and the kind of push we would get with our line.  Jones though is a young talent and there is obviously Wake.

1. Mike Pouncey - would help improve Oline which would give Flacco more time to improve entire offense.

2. Charles Clay - I want to make it clear I want Clay as a TE strictly... I've admired Clay and Marcel Reese for the Raiders as excellent passing catching FBs that are weapons, but I've felt for 2 years both could be productive pass catching TEs.

Without question, Jake Long. Very surprised nobody has said him yet. He's the Dolphins best player when healthy.

Oh wait... whoops, he no longer plays for them? Just like every singly FA they have or try to get, he dissed them for a worse team, just because the Rams have a better organization. LOL how pathetic is that?

I would take Pouncey for his play on the field, but his "Free Hernandez" hat just made me hate him.

Hate?? Dislike, I could understand, but hate wow.
I'll admit it was stupid to wear the hat to support him especially at the time with it all in the news and how it clearly looks like Hernandez is guilty, but they were supporting a friend, I doubt their intentions were to offended the deceased.

Wake. I don't care if the Ravens already have Suggs and Dumervil. Wake is too good to pass up. He is the best pass rusher in the league.

Ellerbe/Smith would be pretty gnarly considering we don't know what we have with Brown. Mike Pouncey would probably be the  best option, though.

Dannell Ellerbe anyone? lol

If not him then Incognito.. seems like one of those guys that you would HATE him because he's with the opposing team or one of those guys that you would LOVE him because he's a ride or die teammate.

I think Incognito is a bit overrated. He's a good player but he's also a bit dirty. He's prone to penalties due to his aggressive attitude.

Last year, Mike Pouncey was perhaps the 2nd best center in the AFC after Myers in Houston now that Mangold had a bad year and Birk rounded out the top 4. This year, Pouncey looks just as good as ever. Pouncey has been just as much of a stud as everyone expected him to be, and he's miles better than his brother.

I'd love to have the better Pouncey brother in Baltimore, while the other stews in Pittsburgh. Mike Pouncey is just nasty in the run game. Plus he's very confident with his calls. He might not be better at making calls in a few years than Gino is, but right now, Pouncey is a beast in the run game and doing better at making the calls and pass protecting.

When I look at need and value, I'd go with one of Miami's few all-pros: Mike Pouncey. Cameron Wake is great, but we already have two great bookend passrushers. Mike Wallace is good too, but he's a former Steeler and I don't want seconds. Plus, Jacoby and Torrey are sufficient. Marlon Brown would work the inside for Wallace and Torrey though.

Pouncey. Gino looks pretty bad so far. Pouncey would make the line so much better. Wake would be nice too, but i think we are already stacked at OLB.

Also wouldn't mind having the Ellerbeast back. Want no parts of Wallace, not only because he supposedly hates us, but also cause we already have Torrey/Jacoby  to stretch the field. We would need a possession guy if anything.

Gino isn't the physical specimen Pouncey is.  Pouncey is a big strong guy who runs really fast.

We could use someone like him on our line. The only nasty player we have on our line is Yanda. Gino has shown signs of having a mean streak, but the big thing holding our line back is a lack of aggression and nastiness. I'd love Incognito. We need someone to be nasty on the interior, and KO seems to be going back to the complacent play he had in college.

Sometimes with other team picking one player is difficult. Do you go with the best player or the one that fills the biggest need. With Miami it's the same player. Easily Pouncey.

The sibling rivalry is just an added bonus.

Dion Jordan has the most value so I'd probably pick him. But Pouncey would help us the most. Still I'd pick Jordan.

That's your opinion. So would you say is their best player than?

Mike Pouncey is not Miami's best player.

Their QB is okay. They have no running backs to speak of. Jake Long is now in St. Louis. Brandon Marshall is in Chicago. Vontae Davis is a Colt. Wallace? Ellerbe? I don't think so. I just read an article about how bad their safeties are. An argument can certainly be make for Cameron Wake but he's 31 years old now.

The answer is Cameron Wake. He is the best edge rusher in the NFL and one of the best players overall. I don't care that he is 31. So is Suggs, does that make him less of a player?

Reshad Jones is one if the best young safeties in the game, despite what your article led you to believe and Brent Grimes is a shutdown CB. I would take all 3 ahead of Pouncey, who is a very good player in his own right but its not like he is the best center in football.

I wouldn't say he's the best edge rusher. Von Miller is the best. Justin Houston in Kansas City has been outstanding the past two years and leads the league in sacks. Not to mention Demarcus Ware. If your argument against Pouncey being their best player is that he isn't the best center in the league than it works the same with Wake. Grimes is solid but far from a shutdown CB. I have never heard his name mentioned among the league's best and Atlanta let him walk away and Miami ended up getting him at a bargain price (1yr $5.5 million). I realize he was coming off a major injury but if he was as good as you say he is Atlanta would have found $5.5 million to keep him around.

Well then you would be wrong. Miller doesn't even play DE, he is a LB in a 4-3 who rushes on occasion. Still, Wake's numbers are superior. Last season 17 sacks, 23 hits, 46 hurries. The only other player that was even close to those numbers is JJ Watt.

Atl didn't have the money to pay Grimes, so that is a poor argument. He has been outstanding this season, even after his injury. He was one of the best in 2011 as well and Atl franchise tagged him so obviously they thought he was an excellent player.
