Fox Does The Stupidest Polls

Fox were ranking the DB units in the league we were at 5.

the major issue I have with this story was the super stupid poll. the 5 selections you can choose from are (if the link doesnt work or whatever)

champ bailey( fine)

Ed reed ( should really be the only choice)

Brian dawkins(Getting a little old but whatever)

Troy polamalu(definitely some DB's better)

Delangelo hall( ? what in the name of the lord ?)

shouldnt there be an 'Other' choice?. call me biased but C-Mac is way better than atleast 2 of those guys,probably 3.

another problem I have is that (right now) 60% of people have voted for bailey, and only 11 for reed (11 polamalu 15 dawkins 3 hall)

so everyone who goes on the link, VOTE ED REED!

the list is also stupid because if you click on the link Ranking DBs 17-32 the writer says adrian wilson may be the best safety in the NFL. If the thinks that why not put him on the list?

I know we have already done top 5 safetys but I dont think we've done corners or DBs as a whole, so you can reply with your top DB's and also if you agree with my opinion that that list is crap.

Who in their right mind lists Dawkins, Polamalu, or Hall ahead of McAllister, Bob Sanders (the Colts defense overachieved in the playoffs and he was the sole reason why), and Adrian Wilson.

However, the "consensus" rankings never make alot of sense. Most of those people in the media are absolutely clueless. You get the best analysis from former players (usually, but Joe Theisman is clueless) and from the stat analysts (I'd personally trust Football Outsiders more than any other source).

I'm not a big fan of Nate Clements, because he is completely over-rated. He was outrun and outplayed several times, and was inconsistent since he arrived in Buffalo. But with the being the highest payed DB in NFL history you'd think it would get him at least to this poll..
