[News] Game Recap: Bills 23, Ravens 20

500 posts in this topic

Look on the bright side. Not too many teams as a whole would have kept it that close and kept fighting until the last refs flag - having turned the ball over 5 times, two deep in their own territory.

We'll be fine. The ball just bounced their way this time.

Don't care why anyone says. Our #Ravens have no leader on offense & we don't have a "franchise" QB. I pity the defense! Just look at Joe's body language & reaction to events on & off the field & ask yourself "does he really instill any confidence in you as a fan?" I'm not hating on him or anything but i've been waiting 5 plus years now for significant development & haven't seen much.

I hit a plus while you had just one Neg. I know I clicked the green up arrow because I agree with the "body language" part! He did looked whipped sitting on the bench!

But it registered two negs! I am not having a good day!

Worse game I ever seen. Dating back to the Stallions. Dumbest play calling ever! Like Ray Lewis say, they need a leader bad. At times they look dizzy. Wont blame injuries coaches plan according to situation. Even with a bad o-line you can average 2.5 yards a rush; which would have cut down on interceptions and put them in more manage-able 3rd down situations. TWO CARRIES THE WHOLE SECOND HALF NOT RAVENS FOOTBALL! We never won a championship like that and do not have the personnel healthy or not. As a fan very dis-appointed.

everyone saying we gave up on the run, ask yourself when was the last time the run showed to be able to take over a game ..do guys realize both of our rb's(who are great talents) average no more than 3 yards a carry. this isnt 03 when we didnt have a qb or receivers, we have both our staff just arent using them correctly

Except historically, and including this year, we were much better as being volume runners. We were never exactly high in yards per carry, but we always committed to the run and stuck to it.

I understand abandoning it in Denver, but we were down one score for a large portion of the 2nd half. That's no excuse.

Simply put....bad OL avg QB play = no success! There were no run lanes and drop pass/INT by Dickson. But, Flacco has to put this team on his back for sustained drives. He has to overcome this team's current weaknesses...put it on his shoulders. He still lacks awareness, accuracy, decision-making...seldom shows willingness to scramble when open field presents itself. 3 or 4 yds makes a difference. Stop throwing short on 3rd and long....WTH?!!! HE HAS TO BE A LEADER in performance and presence! Torrey is the offensive leader of this team, no doubt. With that...our tackles are horrible! Ozzie, season's end (if your QB survives) work your magic. $120M QB behind $5 tackles = short season Joe

This is exactly what i'm getting at. When do you step up & get it done amidst all the teams shortcomings? Our defense was ballin' early until the time spent on the field caught up with them.

poor QB. when everything else goes wrong, it's always the QB's fault. joe got sacked sooo many times. who was supposed to be keeping him safe? O-line ought to do a better job of keeping him safe, too. and when his throws do not connect, those sorry-interception statistics always rest with the QB. everything turns out to be joe's fault. and people are still blaming his $120M contract for losing boldin. my goodness. let's blame everything on joe! might as well blame the party bus incident on him too, right? smh. poor joe! anyway, it's supposed to be a team sport so let's not blame everything on joe. looking forward to the next game. let's go, ravens!

Man we need Pitta back and who else is wandering how many times Joe was on his back. Must win next week against miami with rogers and the pack coming in. Good new, steelers, bungles and texans lost. That helps.

Nothing has changed with these receivers, after each game Harbs says the same line. Nothing is improving, we lost to the bills

Browns are for real,Josh Gordon is back and Cammeron is a beast. We will not make the playoffs this year! Karma for bad business with Boldin. Dumerville did Nghta in this game,I would trade his salary for Boldin's in a heart beat!!

At least we can take solace in this:

Knock knock.

Who's there?

Owen.

Owen who?

Owen four Pittsburgh Steelers.

This is the essence of complacency. Taking solace in someone else's demise instead creating your own success. We shouldn't care about the Steelers.

Why is Juszyzck not getting anytime at receiver? He was brought in because of his catching abilities... He cannot be worse than Dickson which really confuses me.

It's not he runners entirely, the O line has to open some holes. The O line has to step up pass blocking. I swear Dickson is intentionally left open by the D so he can drop and bobble passes. Dallas still has the hands but his legs are done; he has trouble getting open and trouble advancing the ball after reception. Get some reps for Furstenburg and Juszyzck they can't possibly do any worse.

I'm assuming you missed the entire 2012-2013 playoffs then, because I saw incredible development. If you think he played like that in 2009, you have a memory issue.

Joe was never and will never be known as a great regular season road QB.

@Zeus...most loses...or wins. Least rush yards, yards per play, least TD's in a season. Take your pick.

Crazy, with leach and rice we can't run the ball 5 yards

3/5 int's were Flaccos fault. Joe did not have a good day at all. The running game needs some help. The Defense looked ok but there is a lot to improve on getting ready to face the Dolphins. Marlon and Torrey looked pretty good.

Best argument so far. O-line also. I think thats where we can start to improve the run game.

I think someone in here said Stokely could have help. Really?

It wasn't me, but he would have been better than Dickson playing volleyball!

You want to fire our DC for failing to stop one of the top running teams in the league from running after 1 game?

Yeesh.

Posted · Hidden by Grapple Raven, September 29, 2013 - Tacky on the amputee comment! smh · Report post

I can accept 2 of those picks not being Joe's fault but the other 3 were just horrendous mistakes. The run game didn't exist, Ed Dickson may as well be an amputee, and the defense couldn't tackle or cover that well.

It was poor all around, but thankfully the position in the division didn't change much.
